Mexico TripWith an abundance of caution, Fr. Paul and I feel it best to cancel our annual trip to Mexico. After consulting with medical personnel,we believe that it is in the best interest of the Parish as well as our young missionaries that we cancel this year’s Mission Trip.
We will be contacting anyone who has donated to the trip and will be glad to return your donation or you can opt to keep this in our account for the following year.
Thank you to all who so generously donated their time, talent and support to our Mission Outreach program.
God bless,Fr. Paul and Deacon Dave

NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) ACCOMMODATION GUIDELINES“The spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be topic of concern in our communities. Public health officials have advised that the immediate health risk from COVID-19 to the American public is considered low. However, out of an abundance of caution, the Archdiocese recommends the following liturgi-cal accommodations and resources for all parishes, schools and ministries until such time as the coronavirus is no longer a threat (in accordance with the guidance from the Office of Worship and local County Departments of Public Health in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles):
• The use of the cup for Holy Communion should be suspended. Holy Communion is only to be given in the species of the con-secrated bread.
• It is recommended that the faithful receive Holy Communion in the hand. However, pastors may choose to continue to give Holy Communion on the tongue.
• The faithful should be encouraged to refrain from shaking hands at the sign of peace and holding hands at the Lord’s prayer.
• Remove holy water from fonts not attached to a filtration system.
• “All staff, volunteers, parishioners, students and others to are en-couraged to please stay home if they are sick and be prepared to provide accommodations that allow for employees and students to stay home. Also encourage good hand hygiene practices and pro-vide the time and supplies (easy access to running water and soap or alcohol-based hand cleaners) for them to wash their hands as often as necessary.”
“It is important to report any possible cases of infection and maintain good communication with all in your ministries and the public. All locations in the Archdiocese should maintain close con-tact with the Archdiocesan central offices to determine and report verified cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Reports of verified infections must also be made to the county health de-partment (LA County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County and Orange County). If the sick person lives in a county different from the parish or organization then both counties must be notified.”
“Representatives from the Archdiocese are in communication with local health officials and are monitoring the situation. Please visit the Archdiocese’s emergency preparedness webpage, lacatholics.org/emergency, for the most updated information and resources on how to limit the impact of the coronavirus. If you need assistance communicating this information with your parish, contact :the Communications Department at (213) 637-7215 or [email protected].”
