Adhesives and Art Materials are sought by consumers and OEM customers. The export range of Pidilite meets stringent quality standards and have necessary approval from International Testing Agencies like ACMI, ITS and SGS.

The Industrial Specialty Chemical range including organic pigments of Pidilite Industries Limited is exported to leading paint, ink and paper manufacturers arround the world.

The strong R&D department of over fifty research personnel is able to develop as per the specific requirements of customers. All the products are manufactured under ISO 9000 certification.

To ensure that departments work does not get adversely affected due to high number of employees taking Privilege Leave simultaneously during festive holidays, not more than 10% of the employees of a particular group / band / dept will be granted Privilege Leave during Festive holidays, summer and winter breaks.

The Leave Rules w.r.t. No. of days of leave / accunulation / encashment will differ as branches CASUAL LEAVE 1 Casual Leave entitlement is 7 days in a financial year (April - March) CL entitlement for the year is credited on 1st April every year. 2 On confirmation, Casual Leave will be given proportionately from the date of joining till 31st March of the current financial year. 3 Only working days will be counted as leave. Intervening Weekly Off/Paid Holidays will not be considered as leave. Casual Leave /Compensatory Off before and after Festive Holidays is not permissible. If at all taken, it will result in all intervening holidays (pre and/or post) being counted as leave. 4 Casual leave should ordinarily be taken for one day, but in no case for more than 3 days at a time. 5 Prior sanction must be taken by entering in the system before availing causal leave. If it is not possible, the Div./Dept. Head should be informed by telephone or in writing, as soon as possible. The leave card should be immediately filled on resuming duty. If leave is not filled within two days of resuming, it will be treated as absence. Employees will not be able to apply for leave through the System after the 2nd working day of resuming duty. This will be locked through the system and in such cases defaulting Employees will be treated as on unauthorized leave and Salary deduction will be effected accordingly. 6 Unavailed Casual Leave at the end of the year will lapse. SICK LEAVE 1 Sick Leave entitlement is 8 days in a financial year (April - March). SL entitlement for the year is credited on 1st April every year. 2 On confirmation, Sick Leave will be given proportionately from the date of joining till 31st March, of the current financial year. 3 Only working days will be counted as leave. Intervening Weekly Off/Paid Holidays will not be considered as leave. However taking SL before and after Festive Holidays will be permissible only in very genuine cases. 4 Sick leave should be taken only for sickness for self. Sick leave for period exceeding 3 days should be supported by certificate from a Registered Medical Practioner. 5 Unavailed Sick Leave at the end of the year will be carried forward up to a maximum of 52 days.

Sick Leave in excess of 52 days will automatically lapse at the beginning of the year (April). Encashment facility will not be available for the accumulated SL either during the tenure of service or at the time of retirement / resignation. PRIVILEGE LEAVE 1 Privilege Leave entitlement is 24 days in a financial year (April - March). 2 Privilege Leave will be given proportionately from the date of joining till 31st March of the current financial year. However, leave can be availed only after completing one year's service. 3 Only working days will be counted as leave. Intervening Weekly Off/Paid Holidays will not be considered as leave. 4 Privilege leave is not admissible for employees serving notice period. In case prior sanction of leave has been taken, notice period will be extended accordingly. 5 Privilege leave will be permitted to be availed maximum three times in a year. The leave period should be for a minimum of 4 days. 6 PL should be applied for, minimum 15 days in advance and employee can proceed on leave only after leave having been duly sanctioned by Div./Dept. Head. If leave is not filled in the system 15 days before proceeding.on leave, it will be treated as absence. Employees will not be able to apply for leave through the system after resuming duty. This will be locked through the system and in such cases defaulting Employees will be treated as on unauthorized leave and Salary deduction will be effected accordingly. 7 Clubbing of PL with maternity leave will be permissible subject to approval of Div/Dept. Head. 8 PL balance at the end of the year (March) will be carried forward up to a maximum of 90 days. PL in excess of 90 days will be automatically encashed in April, based on April salary. 9 To ensure that departments work does not get adversely affected due to high number of employees taking Privilege Leave simultaneously during festive holidays, not more than 10% of the employees of a particular group / band / dept will be granted Privilege Leave during Festive holidays, summer and winter breaks. HALF DAY LEAVE 1 Normally half day may not be granted. However, in unavoidable circumstances subject to satisfaction of Div./Dept. Head, such leave may be granted maximum once in a week, subject to maximum 12 times in a year. The same will be deducted from the existing balance of CL/SL. The Leave should be filled in the system in advance and the leave should be sanctioned by Div./Dept.Head. In case half day is taken without prior authorization/intimation, full day's absence will be marked. Employees will not be able to apply for leave through the System after resuming duty. This will be locked through the system and in such cases defaulting Employees will be treated as on unauthorized leave and Salary deduction will be effected accordingly. UNAUTHORIZED ABSENCE If an employee remains absent without obtaining permission of the Div/Dept. Head, or after exhausting all permissible leave, it will be considered as an act of misconduct and salary and allowances will be deducted for the days of absence.LEAVE ENCASHMENT 1 PL encashment should be for a minimum of 26 days at the option of the employee subject to retaining a minimum balance of 24 days. 2 Leave encashment rate will be considered on the basis of 26 working days in a month instead of days in a month i.e. leave encashment rate will be: monthly salary (Basic + DA) / 26 days instead of monthly salary (Basic + DA) / 30 days. 3 Employees leaving service either during probation or after confirmation, but before the end of the financial year, will be permitted to encash PL calculated on pro rata basis up to the last day of working. GENERAL 1 During probation no leave is permissible. If any leave is taken it will be counted as leave without pay. If the leave without pay exceeds 5 days (excluding SL with Medical Certificate) the employee is not likely to be confirmed/probation will be extended. 2 Leave should be applied for in advance. If due to unforeseen reasons leave has not been sanctioned in advance, the employee should inform the Dept. Head on phone or through another person at the earliest. Sanction of leave should be obtained in the leave card and the same should be submitted to HRD/Time Office/Admn immediately for record. In the event of no proper communication about sanctioned leave, employee will be treated as absent and salary and allowances deducted accordingly. 3 In case an employee falls sick and does not have enough SL, then he will be allowed to club CL with SL. In case CL is not available, then PL can be taken. This will be counted for the number of times PL is availed of in a year. 4 In case an employee does not have sufficient balance leave, advance SL/PL may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances : a Severe illness of employee (with medical certificate) b Hospitalization of spouse, children or parents. c Death of a close relative. d Marriage of self or daughter/son. In all other cases, it will be treated as absence. 5 a During the period of absence /leave without pay, salary (Basic + DA) and monthly allowances will be deducted (excluding monthly medical if applicable) on pro rata basis. b If total absence/leave without pay during the year exceeds 30 days: i) CL/SL/PL entitlement will be debited on pro rata basis. ii) Annual allowances - (LTA and Monthly/Quarterly Medical) will be paid on pro rata basis. The above deduction will not be applicable during maternity leave of 3 months. Important All the Divn. \ Dept. Heads reporting to MD \ Director will have to necessarily take approval for Leave through the system from the concerned Directors.
