Valve problems are reportedly the primary reason or reciprocating

compressor shutdowns, which in many cases can be attributed to

design, improper reconditioning or operating actors.

The CPI range meets most application requirements and includes

valves such as CPI radiused disc, CPI Hi-Flo, ring, dampened disc,

ported plate, replaceable seat plate and the IPV-indicator ported

valve.

To support compressor operators, CPI provides valve reconditioning

services rom various acilities located around the world. CPI also

has the capability to supply a wide range o replacement parts rom

CPI valve design

CPI compression engineers utilize sophisticated proprietary valve

dynamics programs to carry out valve perormance modeling and

analysis o existing operations in order to accurately select the

optimum valve design solution or a specic application. This is

CPI radiused disc and Hi-Flo valves

The CPI radiused disc valve design has improved reliability in a w

range o compressor applications worldwide. Valves are individu

computer designed to match the compressor operating conditioor each application and are capable o operating across a wide

range o parameters reaching temperatures o up to 200C/390

and pressures in excess o 400 bar/6000 psi, and are suitable or

sour gas applications.

The CPI Hi-Flo valve is a ring type design based on the proven

advantages o an aerodynamic V shape. The ring shape and the

proled seat enable the Hi-Flo to perorm well in a wide range

o applications, delivering improved valve running lie, especially

in extreme, dirty and robust operating conditions. Hi-Flo valves

are custom designed to determine the optimum components

and ring materials or specic applications.

CPI plate valves

CPI ported plate valves provide operators with a comprehensive

range o both metallic and non-metallic plate valve assemblies

and internal components, manuactured to the highest quality,

or air and process gas compressors operating in a range o

dierent applications.

CPI ring valves

CPI ring type valves are manuactured to the highest quality,

using either metallic and non-metallic ring components or

compressors operating in a range o diering applications,

CPI poppet valves

Designed and engineered specically or each application,

CPI poppet valves are available in single deck and double deck

congurations. CPI poppet valves can be reconditioned rom

any o the CPI service centers located around the world.

Unloaders and actuators

CPI valves can be supplied with nger and plug type suction

valve unloaders. These are complemented by a range o

pneumatic valve unloader actuators, designed specically or

each application.

Valvealertmonitoring

Is a non-intrusive, intrinsically sae condition monitoring tool

which provides automatic detection and alerts o anomalies

within the operation o reciprocating compressors and related

equipment.

Valvealertallows the user to collect, analyze data without the

need or specialist training. The VA2 handheld portable data

collector - records acoustic emission data and temperature, this

stored data is uploaded to a PC or laptop where it is automatica

analyzed. Both options operate with the specially developed an

unique Valvealert sotware.

piston and rider rings

The CPI comprehensive range o piston rings, rider rings and rider

bands meet the varied sealing and piston support requirements

or the vast majority o reciprocating compressors, using a rangeo CPI Special Polymer Alloys, standard and special materials.

Piston rings, rider rings and bands are manuactured in various

designs ranging rom conventional one-piece or segmental straight,

angle or step cut design to the more complex congurations such

as the unique Twin Ring design. CPI also custom designs rings and

has developed specic combinations or particularly problematic

and demanding applications. This has also included numerous

conversions rom lubricated to non-lubricated operation.

Many successul eld applications, using the unique range o CPI

materials, have transormed both oil-ree and lubricated compressor

reliability, resulting in better sealing, less wear and longer run lie.

CPI combines a wide range o metallic and non-metallic materials

and a variety o designs to meet with many typical packing

requirements and also the more specic and problematic ones.

The range o materials that CPI utilizes are available across the bro

range o packing rings designed or unidirectional and bidirectio

sealing, low pressure vent and gas purge sealing. This also include

high-speed and high pressure rings, as well as sandwich and triplcircle designs.

CPI Special Polymer Alloys, with their uniquely specic problem

solving capabilities, have resulted in new piston and rod sealing

systems that are able to replace traditionally used seals in almost
