HMS

HMS provides a web-based solution to hospitals to captureall the patient data starting from Admission to discharge.HMS captures both type of patient data – OP (OutPatient)and IP (InPatient).

The application being web-based, acts as a zero-installation on-the-go point of access to all Hospital users.

The application provides access to almost all departmentsof the Hospital viz., Registration, Billing, Nursing, Doctors(CPOE), Blood Bank, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy,Stores, Health checkup, MRD, Food & Diet, QualityMonitors, Infection Control, etc.


Access-for-all

HMS is accessible by all employees at the same time. Theapplication is built on MVC architecture and is scalable fora large number of user access.

The Admin can manage most part of the application withflexibility to control elements from their respectiveMasters, so you don’t have to go back to developmentteam again and again to have your data added or edited.

The application provides user role management, by whichthe Admin can control which part’s access is to be given towhom.

A patient has to be registered in order to populate dataagainst that patient.

Registration captures all important patient-relatedpersonal information along with ability to upload patient’sphoto.

After successful registration, a Unique Hospital ID(UHID) is created for the patient reference and is uniqueto each patient.

During Registration a compulsory appointment with aConsultant has to be done for a patient.

When a patient gets services advised by Doctor or Nurse,bill for these services can be cleared from OP Billing page.

In addition to the advised services, Billing counter canalso bill additional services, if any required by the patient.

The OP Billing screen calculates the due amounts at run-time.

Billing department can also record any discount offeredto the patient on this page. Discount can be bill-wise,service- type-wise or service-wise.

CPOE

CPOE screen provides Doctors and Nurses with ability to viewtheir current patient list and their details as well as visit history.

CPOE screen allows prescriptions and advices to be posted.The screen acts as a single point of posting of any servicerequired for an patient.

CPOE also gives access to patient history in which all theposted services for the patient are listed and their reports, ifany, can be directly accessed from here.

CPOE forms the heart of the HMS application which givesdoctors and nurses the flexibility of access.

Pharmacy module gives functionality of Purchase cycleincluding – Indent, Quotation and Purchase Order – to theHMS users.

Medicines prescribed by Doctors/Nurses can be issuedfrom Pharmacy module. Pharmacy also allows Over theCounter Sale of medicines to patients (Point-Of-Sale).

Hospital department can request medicines fromPharmacy to stock for themselves.

Returns from Patients and Departments can be logged aswell as return from Pharmacy to Vendor.

Pharmacy as well as other Departments stocks can beviewed by users with access.

OT department users get notification of users who have beenadvised for surgery.

Surgery Staff get the ability to approve the surgery in orderto schedule the same.

Application allows OT Staff to record extensive surgerydetails including start/end times, surgery notes, staff insurgery, etc.

Blood Bank module allows user to register blood donors andrecord their blood collection data.

For each blood donation, the application allows users to recordHealth history of the donor, questionnaire, screening details andcomponent splitting.

Nursing or any other department can log request for blood orcomponents in the application against which the Blood bank userscan issue blood or components from their stock.

System provides facility to manage users allowed to access theapplication.

Users access is role-based. Application allows Admin to define whatpages can be accessed by each of these Roles.

The HR adds employees into the system and users are created byselecting from this employee list thus keeping the security ofapplication access, intact.

System provides facility to admit Outpatient into thehospital as an Inpatient.

The advice for admission is given via CPOE and then flowsto the admission counter.

An unique IP number is generated for each of the admittedpatient. The lifespan of this IP number starts with theadmission of the patient and ends with the Discharge of thepatient.

Inpatient CPOE screen allows posting of Inpatient servicesfor the patient.

Inpatient billing controls the discharge and final billing of anInpatient.

MRD displays entire patient history that is accumulatedin the hospital.

It is an easy and quick access for any Doctor/Nurse toget info on their respective patients.

MRD module also gives facility for departments to postrequest for hard-copies of patients medical records.System records such issue of the copies and returns madeby the departments back to the MRD department.
