Product history and information

1960's

Holaday Industries was formed in the early 60's and bega,n developing equipment to utilize microwave energy in medical and industrial applications. In the late 60's Holaday Industries became aware of the need for accurate inexpensive equipment to measure microwave oven leakage. This led to the development of the Hl-1500 Microwave Survey Meter.

1970's

The ?O's found Holaday deeply involved in the microwave oven industry, providing test equipment for the manufacturers, service people and regulatory agencies. The Hl-1 700 became widely used in oven manufacturing plants. The Hl-1500 was redesigned and improved resulting in the Hl-1501. The Hl-1510 with its peak reading memory circuit and optional alarm was introduced.

Other large systems such as the Hl-2790 Calibration Comparison System and the Hl-2420 Magnetron Testing Systems were developed to meet the needs of oven manufacturers. The Hl-1800 was designed to meet the specific needs of the appliance service industry.

1980's

As we move into the 80's we continue our emphasis on the microwave oven industry and are expanding into broadband exposure instrumentation.

The Hl-2611 is a Microprocessor Controlled System which will automatically test a microwave oven for leakage in a matter of seconds, a necessary tool to keep pace with automated assembly and expanding production schedules.

Holaday Industries' entry into broadband exposure measurement is the Hl-3001 Isotropic Broadband Survey Meter. It is a hand held, battery powered meter designed for field use.

In the 80's Holaday Industries will continue to provide high quality instrumentation to the microwave oven industry. We will be expanding the isotropic broadband meter capability by introducing such options as an H-field probe and by development of highly sophisticated laboratory instrumentation.

Holaday Industries, Inc., of Edina, Minnesota has developed a microwave survey meter with a peak reading memory circuit. This instrument was developed primarily for microwave oven manufacturers, but should also be very useful to environmental control agencies and microwave oven service personnel.

The Model Hl-1510 is a rugged, compact, portable instrument which consists of a lightweight instrument package connected to a unique detection probe by a shielded cable. The instrument is virtually immune to failure caused by excessive fields or physical abuse.

NEW! Memory Recall Feature The memory circuit stores the highest leakage level observed during a survey. When the memory recall (MR) button is depressed the meter will display that peak value. When the MR button is released, the memory circuit is automatically rezeroed.
