Holiday Camp for Kids Making Marble Cards Supplies List and Instructions

Supplies List

- Protective sheet (a garbage bag will do)

- Shallow dish (pie dish or cookie sheets)

- Food colouring dye

- A stick to swirl the dye (toothpicks or chop sticks)

- Shaving cream (not shaving gel)

- Protective gloves (disposable surgical gloves work great to limit hand staining)

- Cardstock paper (regular paper is too thin)

- Piece of heavy cardboard or large spatula

Instructions

Step 1: Lay down the protective sheet and place the shallow dish on top of the sheet

Step 2:

Spray a shallow layer of shaving foam to coat the bottom of the dish.

Step 3:

Drip food colouring onto the foam.

Step 4:

Use your stick to gently swirl the colours into the foam. Careful not to completely mix the colours or the final marbling effect will not be as visible.

Step 5:

Place your cardstock onto the foam making sure that the entire face of the card is touching the foam.

Step 6:

Carefully grab the corner of the card and remove it from the foam.

Step 7:

Using the cardboard or spatula, scrape off any excess foam. This can also create cool new designs!

Step 8:

Lay out the cardstock on a drying rack or on your drop sheet to dry.

NOTE: You can repeat steps 3-3 to create different new layers of colour on your foam and repeat the process. Experiment and have fun!!
