fter giving — and receiving — a number of dud gifts, I finally discovered the secret behind good ones: They make our lives better.
And by better, I truly mean better. Not the same. Not differ-ent. Not unique. Not interesting. Better. They’re more beauti-ful, more comfortable, more efficient — or just plain easier to use. They bring us more laughter, more joy. They give us ex-tra time to enjoy the things we love or make doing the things we love more enjoyable. Simply put, they’re all around better than what we already have. And when you look at gifts that way, figuring out what to get each person on your list couldn’t be easier because you don’t have to worry about wowing or impressing them. You just need to ask yourself, “What in their life could be better?” And every single item in this guide fits that bill. I can guar-antee it, because I’ve either personally owned and loved (like the Garmin Nuvi I’d name my first born after, p. 25 and the Kyocera ceramic knives I’d never want to go without, p. 13)or desperately coveted (like the Bounkit earrings, p. 11, and Lightning Axis snowshoes, p. 14) each and every one. Well, maybe not every one. There are a few, like the Ninja Umbrella, p. 9, and all the video games, p. 26-27, I’ve never, ever, not even once loved or coveted. But they are loved and coveted by someone else. Actually, lots of some-one elses, and I know, because I’ve either given them as gifts and received rave reviews, or I’ve researched them exten-sively to ensure they are the best of the best in their categories and truly do makes lives better. And boy do they ever. I hope you enjoy perusing this guide. I hope your holi-day is filled with too much love and laughter. And most im-portantly, I hope they love your gifts. Be sure to let me know if they do. I want to hear all about it.
Happy, Happy Holidays!
