Sami’s journey took him to Russia where he completed his medical studies in general medicine, ophthalmology and gaining some neurosurgical experience and acupuncture anesthesia. After com-pleting his transitional medical residen-cy program in surgery and medicine at Brown University, in Rhode Island, Sami became a fellow of ophthalmology/Immunology at Harvard University. After three years of residency in neurology in New York, Sami discovered a new path of holistic medicine. He completed a Chinese School of Oriental Medicine in Acupuncture and trained in China in Acupuncture, Tai Chi and Tui Na. Sami is involved deeply in Medical Qi Gong, Hawai-ian Huna Healing, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Mental and Emotional Release, Hypnosis and Vis-ual Qi Gong. In his presentation: “Holistic approach to Dementia” Sami’s slide show presentation takes you deeper into the world of brain anatomy, physiology, philoso-
phy, causes, and new insights and points of view
that open the doors for prevention with information that helps people with dementia to get noticeably better.

Joanne Verone wants us to know about this: …...Joanne and John Verone went to Chanhassen, Minnesota, for an Eckankar World-wide Seminar to celebrate the Spiritual New Year. Eckankar is a religion of Light and Sound of God. It was an amazing experience to hear 2,000 people sing "HU," a love song to God. The Eckankar Temple was beautiful and so uplifting to be there for services. The seminar on the weekend was at the convention center in Minneapolis. Anyone can sing "HU" when they are under any stressful situation or to praise God. You can also hear the sound of "HU" in the wind, movement of leaves, ocean waves, etc. We were fortunate to be able to stay with my cousin Ann Marie Murphy. She lives in Minnesota and works at the Eckankar offices. If anyone is interested, they can look up information about Eckankar at www.Eckankar.org. We also were able to spend some time with our son Steve and his family for Halloween in Boston. We thoroughly enjoyed Rosemary Thompson’s presentation about Homeopathic remedies at Synergy last month. She was very informative about how and why we can benefit from homeopathy. On November 17, 2018, from 11am-1:00pm, MUFON (Mutual U.F.O. Network) of CNY is having expert Peter Robbins as a guest speaker. Peter has been in movies, radio, and TV shows and is a leading UFO export. Also, he is known for his work on James Forrestal and the Rendlesham Forrest inci-dent. Peter is a great lecturer and always fun to hear. Our meetings are held the last Saturday of the month at the James-ville-Dewitt Library except for special holidays, in which case, a change would be made. This month and December will be different. Hope you can join us this month!

What are chakras and how do they work? Within our bodies there are focal points of
energy that are associated with the vital organs that keep our bodies functional and
healthy. These focal points are called Chakras.
The 7 Chakras are the energy centers in our body in which energy
flows through. Chakra (singular is chakrum) is a Sanskrit word for
wheels or disks, and signifies the seven basic energy centers in the
body. They are associated with the aura and can offer guidance for
our health and well-being.

……...Monica Fricke has been weeding out some of her belongings. If you have ever visited her apart-ment, you know that it is rich in art and lovely European decorations. She has a small Christmas tree that she is hoping to sell to some lucky person. There are also lots of beautiful “old world” ornaments. Call her at 315-446-3464.
