January 30 & 31 - USA to the Holy LandYour spiritual pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on an overnightflight. You will be welcomed to the Holy Land by our airportrepresentative and transferred to your hotel in the Galilee. Enjoydinner before you rest.

February 1 - Capernaum, the Mount of Beatitudes, Caesarea Philippi Travel to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee. Visitthe synagogue which stands on the site where Jesus taught. RecallHis teaching and preaching the gospel of the kingdom (Matt. 4:13,23). Travel to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached to thepeople (Matt. 5-7). Visit Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus traveled withHis disciples and near where Peter made his great confession toJesus, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matt. 16:16).See Mount Hermon, probably the site of the Lord’s Transfiguration(Matt. 17:1-9).

February 2 - The Sea of Galilee and Beit SheanAt Tabgha, the traditional location for the calling of the disciples andthe feeding of the 5,000, visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves(Luke 9:10-17). You’ll also visit the Chapel of the Primacy, where threetimes Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21). AtKibbutz Nof Ginnosar, learn about the “Ancient Boat,” a rare exampleof the kind of boat in which Jesus would have sailed. Cross the watersof the Sea of Galilee by boat, and along the way, participate in aspecial on board worship service. Visit the ruins of Beit Shean whichwas continuously inhabited for 5,000 years and was one of theRoman cities Jesus passed on His way from Galilee to Jerusalem.Conclude your day at the River Jordan where you can remember yourbaptism at the Yardenit Baptismal Site.

February 3 - Nazareth, Megiddo and CaesareaVisit Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Matt. 2:23). Travel the ancientcaravan route to Tel Megiddo where 20 different cities liesuperimposed upon each other. Visit the Roman Aqueduct andTheatre at Caesarea, a center of the early Christians. Here, Corneliusbecame the first Gentile convert to the new religion (Acts 10) and Paulwas imprisoned before being taken to Rome for trial. Continue toJerusalem for overnight.

February 4 - Jerusalem In Bethlehem, visit the cave revered as the place where Jesus wasborn (Matt. 1:18-25; Luke 2:1-7). The church constructed over thesite is the world’s oldest functioning church. Nearby, view Shepherds’Field, where the Good News was first heard. Stand atop the Mount ofOlives as Jesus did and enjoy a remarkable view of the “Golden City”

of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount, Dome of the Rock, theKidron Valley and the Valley of Gehenna. Forty days after HisResurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives(Acts 1:9-12). Visit the Chapel of the Ascension. Pray in the Gardenof Gethsemane as Jesus prayed (Matt. 26:36-44).

February 5 - Jerusalem and the Old City Visit the Southern Wall Excavations of the ancient Temple, includingthe Teaching Steps and the Western Wall. Walk the Cardo, the ancientmain street of the Old City. Once lined with shops, it is now partiallyrestored. View the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-31), where Jesusperformed the Sabbath miracle, and sing a hymn in the Church of St.Anne. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress, where Jesus was brought beforePontius Pilate (Luke 23:1-11). Walk the Via Dolorosa, “the Way of theCross,” and stand in reverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

February 6 - Qumran, Masada, Dead Sea & Ein GediEven today, the road from Jerusalem to the Jordan Valley twists formiles as it descends below sea level to the lowest spot on the earth'ssurface. Jesus traveled the nearby Roman road, the setting of Hisparable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-36). Visit Qumran, siteof the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to learn about the mysteriouscommunity of Essenes who once lived on the shores of the Dead Sea.Discover Masada, Herod’s mountaintop fortress which became thelast stronghold of the Jewish Rebellion against the Romans. Ride thecable car to the top to explore. Peer down upon the remains of theRoman camps and siege ramp below. Stop briefly at the shores of theDead Sea for a quick dip in the salt and mineral laden waters. Journeyto the oasis of Ein Gedi, where David and his men sought refuge fromSaul (1 Sam. 23).

February 7 - Jerusalem This morning, visit Mount Zion to visit the House of the High PriestCaiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned for a night (Matt. 26:57-65).Stand in the Upper Room, revered as the place of the Last Supper(Mark 14:12-26). View the site of King David’s Tomb. Visit the HaasPromenade for a last panoramic view of the Old City from the southof Jerusalem. See the Old City walls and the hill called Mount Moriah,where Abraham was commanded by God to offer Isaac as a burntoffering (Gen. 22:2, 4). Visit and worship at the Garden Tomb andexperience the reality of the Resurrection.

February 8 - Extension or ReturnDepart on an exciting extension or return to the USA.
