Holy Spirit
Our Mission is to be a Spirit-filled community of
love, challenging people to proclaim the good news of Christ’s salvation to the world.
We seek to foster and promote a life pleasing to God through prayer
and sacramental ministry.
We are called to nurture spiritual growth, build our
lives on Gospel values and to reach out to the
poor and hurting.

Second collection Next weekend there will be a second collection to benefit Catholic Relief Services (CRS). For more than 75 years, CRS has been providing expertise and compassion to the very poorest of our brothers and sisters in more than 100 countries. But we can't do this lifesaving work without your help. When you give, you help fill the bellies of young children so they can study hard in school. You help prevent trafficking and provide welcome kits for survivors. Your donations help mothers and babies around the world receive nutritional care and health exams. Refugees find safety and receive emergency assistance and trauma counseling. Farmers learn innovative ways to plant and grow crops despite drought or disease. And women find dignity in opportunities for savings and training. When you give, you change lives, families and communities. Thank you for your generosity.
The new missals are in and are available in the Parish Office.

Dear Friends and Members of the Holy Spirit Community, Our second annual family festival is going to take place on June 2nd. This festival came from the vision of our Pastor, Father Pat McCormick with two intentions in mind.
First and foremost, to bring our community together with an event where families can come out and have fun. Secondly, to fundraise for future building facilities. The new facilities would better suit our growing community by allowing us to have more room for religious education classes and community events.
By becoming a sponsor you grant Holy Spirit another opportunity to serve generations to come. Sponsors will be thanked at the festival by being allowed to advertise based on which package is chosen. Only 15 spots will be available and the deadline for sponsors is May 10th.
Please also pass along this information to anyone you feel would be interested. Thank you for your continued support of the Holy Spirit community.
Sponsor Forms are available in the Parish Office.
1981 was an exciting year for Ken Lazarus. In that year he not only converted from the Episcopalian Church to the Catholic church but he and his wife Amy began to attend Mass at the newly formed parish of Holy Spirit Church. It quickly became home for the couple with two small children. Subsequently the couple was blessed by three more children. It was exciting to watch those children grow in the church, become confirmed, married and have their own children baptized at Holy Spirit. It was heartening to watch several of the children become team members of Edge and Life Teen after going through those programs themselves. Those five children blessed us with thirteen grandchildren (So far). Holy Spirit became our second home. Laz, as he is called by friends, started with ushering. That grew into becoming a member of the Men’s club and holding various offices before becoming president. He also was a Extraordinary minister for a period of time and most recently retired from the Church Finance Council after five years. His wife Amy was on staff in the Holy Spirit Office for years as well as being a Extraordinary Minister and taking communion to homebound parishioners and local assisted living facilities. We cannot tell you how much we cherish our church community and the many friends that we have made over the years. We have been blessed with three wonderful priests, Monsignor Logan, Father Eric Swearingen and Monsignor Pat McCormick. We feel that everything that we have put into the church we have been repaid tenfold. We urge you to become involved in our many Parish ministries.
