Caring for the Church in our place - building up the Body of Christ in our place…. through receiving the Teaching of Christ Worshipping the One True God and living the Faith in the ‘communio’ of the Spirit…. During July and August our Finance Committee will lead the parish to reflect on how we offer our TIME - TALENTS - TREASURE and TEAM MEMBERSHIP to build and rebuild our parish in Armidale. Gratefully have we received from those before us…with right stewardship do we maintain & enhance the legacy for the next generation. St Martha’s Table: Senior Parishioners are invited to morning tea in the Fr Tim McCarthy Meeting Room following the 9.15am Mass…First Tuesday of the Month. Laudato Si Group…. following the Catholic Earth Care visit to our parish last Thursday evening…we are looking towards the establishment of a Group for study of: Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si…and our vocation to stewardship of creation….being Catholic is to be faithful to the Teaching of the Church / Faithful to Sunday Mass / and Faithful to living the Faith of the Church…Laudato Si is important Petrine Teaching in our time…Catholics are called to give serious reflection and attention….Chaplain: Fr Ron Perrett. “EXPLORE” is a specialised program coming from the UK…. The project enables 14-17 year olds to gain a better understanding of the realities of marriage in our society today by entering into open dialogues with married couples. The young people carry out research, working with the experience of the couples they meet, to explore the question: Does marriage matter in our society today? Preparing across the Diocese for Marriage and Family Week in July…an initiative of our Bishop Michael Kennedy. Chaplain: Fr Francis Afu. BUILD UP CHURCH in our parish…. deepen our appreciation that the Church was started by Christ….it is ONE HOLY APOSTOLIC… WORLD YOUTH DAY 2016… Bishop Kennedy will commission Pilgrims from the Diocese for the World Youth Day Pilgrimage next Sunday at the 10am Mass. From our parish six Pilgrims will be commissioned: Renee Austin (student); Amy Roff (gap year); Edward Ryan (student); Edmund Sadgrove (PhD candidate); Angela Farrell (HR Services Officer); Gerard Ryan (student St Alberts College). Our parish contributed $5,000 to support the pilgrims… each week over the past three years…we have put 1% of our total 2nd collection into the WYD Account…. parishioners should be proud of their involvement in the WYD Pilgrimage… please pray for the 20 young Catholics from our diocese joining with many other Australians on Pilgrimage Chaplain, Fr Francis Afu and Pilgrimage Coordinator, Mr Lee Herden. Parent night for all parents of children preparing for

the Sacrament of First Holy Communion will be held

in the Cathedral, Wednesday 20th July at 6pm. It

is essential that parents attend this meeting to

Diocese journey to the Cathedral to gather with the Bishop for the

close of the Holy Year of MERCY…our parish will be hosting

travellers from throughout the Diocese…we hope to hold the entire
