OK FALLS SALE—MAY 5, 2014 Wow you had to be here to feel the action in the market and the huge

buying power for the excellent 300 head on offer. Ian & Bev Smith put

the power to our butcher trade with 2320 lb. butcher bulls marking

126.00. Dave & Wanda Casorso filled the r ing with 21 cows. 1130

lb. cows traded to 109.50. The Sather Ranch had 1370 lb. cows at

99.50. Pat Lawrence had 1460 lb. cows power to 99.00. Jake Brown

started the calf sale strong with 430 lb. h/c’s marking 230.00 and 458 lb.

Hereford h/c’s notching 255.00. Rosco Ranch’s 660 lb. Black Angus s/c

hit 209.00, the 630 lb. Tan steers brought 215.00. Barrington Ranch’s

750 lb. Angus heifers sold to 172.00, the 586 lb. Black heifers brought

195.00. Thomas Ranch’s 555 lb. s/c hit 226.00, the 438 lb. Angus

heifers rolled to 210.00. Dave and Wanda Casorso’s 695 lb. Black

steers hit 203.25, the 600 lb. Black heifers rolled to 190.50. John &

Joyce Holmes 480 lb. heifers sold to 210.00.

KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY MAY 6, 2014 Well the market was alive and well again this week on another block

buster sale with 400 head on offer. The Diamond T Ranch, Len &

Marlene Tonn from Kelowna set the bar high on a liner load of

powerful calves. The 1st group of 570 lb. Black Angus h/c’s marked

200.00. Their 400 lb. h/c’s marked 216.00, their 573 lb. s/c powered to

215.00, their 430 lb. s/c rolled to 233.00. Randy & Wendy Prebushewski

from Cherryville put the power to our butcher trade with 1450 lb. cows to

105.25, their 650 lb. h/c’s marked 190.50. LAC Holdings of Grand Forks

had 500 lb. h/c’s hit 203.00. Pam Simpson’s 720 lb. Black heifers rolled

to 179.00. Brian and Sidsel Gunderson’s 945 lb. British steers brought

159.00, the 845 lb. steers sold to 172.00. Darren Dunbar’s 860 lb. Black

steers hit 179.00, the 648 lb. steers reached 221.00. Kuiper Ranch’s 509

lb. Black heifers topped 206.00, the 563 lb. heifers sold to 202.00. Roger

Zinck’s 803 lb. steers topped 186.50. Werner Stump from Malakwa

with a top group of replacement heifers. Their 1080 lb. Blaze face heifers

traded to 130.00. 10 head of their 1015 lb. heifers topped 136.00. Forest

Lakewood from Parksville had 675 lb. steers top 214.00. 10 head of

their 540 lb. steers notched 225.50.

Next week another powerful sale planned with 300-400 head on offer.
