•MortalitydatapublishedafterHurricaneIrmabatteredtheGulfCoastin2017showedmorethan15%ofdeathswereattributedtopoweroutagesthatworsenedexistingmedicalconditions.

Develop better data. Thelackofacomprehensive,publiclyavailabledatasetmakesitdifficulttodeterminetheexactsizeanddemographiccharacteristicsofthein-home,electricity-dependentpopu-lation.Todeterminethesizeandscope
