INSULATIONREBATE
HOW TO APPLY?
You can apply online at TakeChargeNL.ca or mail an application with a copy of your purchase receipts to your electricity utility. Download the form at TakeChargeNL.ca or contact Newfoundland Power or Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro to receive the form in the mail.
WHY IT’S GREAT TO INSULATE!
• Heating usually accounts for over 50% of the electricity used in electrically heated homes. Having enough insulation can save you thousands in heating costs.
• Insulation keeps your house cozy when temperatures drop.
• Attic insulation helps keep your home cool in the summer and basement insulation combats humidity issues.
Allow up to 8 weeks for processing, then look for the rebate applied as a credit on your electricity bill. Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro may visit your home and confirm the insulation installation at any time within 15 months from when the rebate was processed.
