Brendan Fernandes Printing Collaboration In mid December 2015, Brendan Fernandes made works for his AEAC solo exhibition with Professor Otis Tamasauskas. The Printmedia Studios in Ontario Hall were put to use for this very special visitor. Fernandez exhibition, Brendan Fernandes: Lost Bodies, is at the Anes Etherington Art Centre from January 9 until April 10, 2016. Visiting Artists, George Walker and Yael Brotman George Walker, a highly respected senior Canadian book-artist, visited the Fine Art (Visual Art) Program in January. He gave a stimulating lecture on the ideas around and developed in his works. The following day he gave a workshop that was well attended and much appreciated. In early February, Toronto artist, Yael Brotman visited the Fine Art Program (Visual Art) and gave a talk on her work. An Exhibition of Artists’ Book at the AEAC An exhibition of artists’ books was presented in the Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Titled, With you and Others, it is on display from January 9 to April 10, 2016. Many of the bookworks were donated by Ted Rettig. Several others are from the collection of the Gallery. A special symposium event took place on Friday, February 26, 2016 in the Fitzhenry Studios and Atrium in Togo Salmon Hall, McMaster University. Students, artists, and members of the public who attended joined in dialogues and shared information on environmentally-friendly printmaking techniques. The symposium included workshops and tours of the McMaster Museum print collection. Notably, our own Professor Otis Tamasauskas hosted a workshop on lithography printmaking.
