  • Homie is a real estate platform unlike any other, a just-right

solution that allows buyers and sellers to handle more of the

transaction themselves using technology while receiving any

needed assistance from licensed real estate attorneys and

experts. And the best part, Homie doesn’t charge listing

commissions so users save on average $10,000.

    Hey Homie!

  • Homie is changing the way people buy and sell homes.

We reengineered home buying and selling to

be fast, efficient, and, most of all, affordable. At

Homie, buyers and sellers use our automated,

streamlined technology to complete much of

the transaction themselves. They can search

for homes or list their own, schedule tours on

the spot, and create and receive offers. But,

unlike a FSBO transaction, Homie customers

also get licensed real estate attorneys and

experts to help with pricing, photography,

    marketing, negotiations, and the dreaded

paperwork. All of which helps them close

without a hitch. And the best part? Homie

provides this support without charging listing

commissions, so our home buyers and sellers

    save on average $10,000.

What Homie is:We’re an automated, easy-to-navigate online platform with licensed real estate attorneys and experts available to help when you need them.

What Homie isn’t:We’re not a do-it-yourself FSBO platform or a traditional real estate brokerage and we don’t charge listing commissions.

  • How Homie works

Homie sellers pay no commissions to Homie. To list with Homie, they payan upfront listing fee ($199) that includes everything they need to get the home on the market:

    • Yard sign• Comparative Market Analysis• Professional photography• Provider Marketplace• Online marketing• Listing on Homie.com, MLS (if desired), Zillow, Trulia, KSL Homes,

    Facebook and more

Once listed, sellers accept tours through Homie’s tour scheduling app, negotiate offers, submit disclosures and manage buyer requests, all with advice and assistance from Homie attorneys and licensed experts. Not until closing are the remaining service fees ($699) collected.

Homie buyers pay nothing to use Homie and can make offers on anyhome—whether that home is listed on Homie.com or not . Buyers search for homes, schedule tours, negotiate offers, conduct due diligence, and tap into advice and support from licensed real estate attorneys whenever they need it.

But that’s not even the best part. Homie buyers also save a bundle thanks to Homie Buyer Rebates, our Buyer Agent Commission (BAC) program where allowable buyer commissions go right back to the buyers. If a Homie buyer purchases a home on the MLS with a specified buyer agent commission (BAC), Homie rebates as much of that commission as the lender allows back to the buyer at the time of closing. Homie Buyer Rebates can be used for closing costs or to pay down the interest rate on a loan.

Homie Loans is an affiliated company that brings the same online automation and expert assistance to the home loan process. Also, Homie Loans doesn’t pay loan officer commissions either, so they’re able to save home buyers thousands on their loan.

Homie Provider Marketplace is where Homie passes along our industry insider connections. Finding all the right providers can add stress and really eat into your precious time, so we help you find providers who have passed the Homie test. These providers get the Homie stamp of approval because they share our vision to radically change the industry and they’ve taken excellent care of our past customers.

  • Our StoryYou’ve got this.We’ve got your back.®

  • Breaking new groundFor centuries, real estate transactions were handled the same costly, agent-centric way. Other indus-tries evolved thanks to technology. Prices dropped. But the real estate industry remained stubbornly frozen in time.

Homie co-founders thought it was high time for a real estate evolution. Time to migrate the entire process to the internet so that tasks traditionally handled by agents could be carried out cost-free by technology, and the process could be controlled by the actual home buyers and sellers.

“It’s about time”When Homie’s co-founders told people about their idea, the overwhelming response was “What took you so long?” But even with all of the buzz, the industry resisted. It took the right group of audacious and tech-savvy entrepreneurs to break through political barriers and put Homie’s systems in place.

Who led the way?Johnny Hanna, Homie’s CEO, who had considerable experience helping people use technology to find the right home from a company he’d previously co-founded, Property Solutions (now Entrata.com), a technology platform that expedites property rentals.

Also on board were CTO Mike Trionfo, entrepreneur and former head-geek at DOMO; CFO Mike Peregrina, nothing short of a venture capitalist whiz; COO Dan Might, former operations honcho at Uber; and a host of others who were determined to make smooth, affordable real estate transactions a reality for home buyers and sellers everywhere.

Homie launched in Utah in 2015 and quickly raised $4.5 million in seed capital. With the support of investors and happy customers, the Homie team grew to 55 people in the first 12 months and continues to grow. Each person at Homie has a passion for transforming real estate through empowering home buyers and sellers.

In the same way that Turbotax made it easy to do your own taxes...

...and Airbnb helped travelers find a place to spend the night...

Homie built a technology platform to help people buy and sell their homes.
