Hondavert S300 USDM board compatibility

Hondavert S300 can be installed to OBD1 ECU:

P06, P08, P28, P29, P30, P54, P70, P71, P72, P74, P75, and analogs looks like on picture below:

WARNING! Before you start. Please understand ONE simple thing. Hondavert S300 is NOT a fake copy/counterfit/replica of Hondata S300 Board. It is own development Board with COMPATIBLITY of Hondata SManager software. Yes it“s has full compatibilitywith Hondata S300 V2 hardware, but she has other functionality that Hondata does not (for example — our board work as an OSTRICH emulator + CROME Datalogger via ONE USB port. Yes, You can also use our board as a standalone OSTRICH for nonHonda ECU).

Understanding this simple thing, we come to the understanding that our board is NOT Compatible with new versions of Hondata SManager software from Hondata“s web site.

To make our board compatible with new versions of Hondata“s software, we will have to crack the Hondata S300 board, but we respect intellectual property and we will not do it.

So please use the software ONLY from this CD or from www.holyguard.ru site. All versions on this sources are TESTED and STABLE.

S300 USDM board STEP BY STEP installation

If you do not understand - then you should not do this! Send ECU to us - we willinstall board for FREE!

To install the board you need some tools and parts:1. Soldering station and soldering iron2. OBD1 ECU3. S300 installation kit (come with the original product)

The kit inkludes:-DIP28 PIN Connector - 1pcs-5PIN Connector - 1pcs-Resistor 1 kOhm - 1pcs-Jumper- 1pcs-Capacitors 0,1 mF - 2pcs-Latch register 74HC373 - 1pcs

1. Open tECU case. The ECU inside should look similar to the picture below.

2. We need to modify eight components: C51, C52, R54, J1, J12, CN2, 74HC373, 27256

3. Fing places for J1 jumper and R54 resistor (they are near) on ECU board. Solder J1 jumper and R54 resistor from installation kit. Have no polarity, soldered by either side.

4. Find places for C51 and C52 capacitors. Solder 0,1 mF capacitors from installation pack. Have no polarity, soldered by either side.

5. Find places for CN2 and 74HC373. Solder 5PIN connector CN2 and 74HC373 IC from installation pack.

CHECK YOURSELF: The notch on the chip must correspond to the notch on the board drawing

6. Find place for external EPROM 27256. Solder 28PIN connector or two 14PIN lines frominstallation pack.

7. Find jumper J12. Desolder or cut J12 jumper.

8. Make a hole in ECU case for USB Connector. Install S300 board.
