Programme Highlight
Internet of Things (IoT) brings people, processes, data and things via the evolving virtual space into a newer
and more promising dimension. The HKES2015 Symposium is an annual flagship event organized by the
HKIE Electronics Division. It embraces the key technologies, applications, insights and best practices of IoT.
HKES2015 provides a platform for engineers, professors, executives and students to exchange professional
knowledge and to nurture new insights.
This year, we are honoured to have Mr. Gregory SO Kam-leung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Commerce and
Economic Development, to be the Officiating Guest of the Symposium, and Ir LEUNG Tak Fai, JP,
Assistant Commissioner/Technical Services of Transport Department, to deliver the keynote speech.
Speakers from EMC, Huawei, ASTRI, Axis Communications, Autotoll, CLP Power, HKPC, will deliver
presentations on sustainable IoT developments. As for the well-received panel discussions, we are honoured
to have Ir Dr. Jolly WONG, Chief Telecommunication Engineer (Hong Kong Police Force) and Mr. Simon
WONG, CEO of the Hong Kong R&D Centre for Logistics & Supply Chain Management Enabling
Technologies, to facilitate the discussions. Distinguished guests that will join our panel discussions include
Ms. Irene LEUNG, CEO of Senior Citizens Home Safety Association, and Legislative Councilors Ir Dr. The
Hon Wai-kwok LO, and The Hon Charles Peter MOK.
