Hopper Box System - Concept

System will have 100-110 cubic feet of capacity

The system is built to hold 200,000 pounds of proppant

The bins can stay on the train or be removed – full or empty

2 bins will sit on a riser and the riser will be bolted or welded to the rail car

Each rail car will have two risers for weight distribution

Can also be utilized on site for discharge of the bins

Great for sand, grain, plastic, wheat or any flowable material

Jumbo Bin Roof

the bin will be fitted with a roof to keep the material dry

The opening can be any size, but is currently 24” W x 60” L

The hatch will look like the one shown here

The roof is safe for workers to walk on &

will have anti-skid material applied

Plant workers will be able to walk from

bin to bin for easy filling

Other options are avaiable

Jumbo Bin Discharge

Gravity fed bottom discharge

The funnel is 35 degrees on the

long side & 30 on the short

There will be 2 gates to allow

for dual side discharge

Each gate will have a lead

screw

Discharge can be controlled

between the bin and the riser

Gate can be easily opened and

closed with electric tool

50,000 pounds of sand can

discharge in 1.5 mins or slowed

to 4 tons a min

Jumbo Bins on Flat Rail Cars

Rail Cars can hold up to 112.5 short tons or 225,000 pounds

The capacity range from 70 to 112.5 short tons

Depending on the flat car –we use 3 to 5 bins

Jumbo Riser & Flat Car – 4W

This examples depicts all 4 bins being centered on the car

and holding 200,000 pounds. Different rail cars will

require balancing of the weight and require them to be split

Jumbo Riser Option

Each riser will have a two sided discharge chutes under each bin

Discharge will be able to take place on either side of the bins

Discharge can be simultaneous on both sides or each side at a time or only one side

Bins can be left on riser permanently or removed at anytime

Riser Configuration

Each riser will be approximately 14 INCHES OFF THE DECK OF RAIL CAR

Each Riser will hold two bins and the bins will be bolted to the riser

Each riser may need an additional attachable chute to get material over the side of the rail car – depended on width of car

If the risers are on the car next to each other they can be attached to each other.

Bins can be left on riser permanently or removed at anytime

The discharge angle is 30 degrees on the riser

Discharge from Riser

The riser will have A SEPARATE DISCHARGE CHUTE FOR EACH BIN

Each CHUTE WILL HAVE VISUAL INDICATORS OF THE DISCHARGE RATE

This photo is a representation of the chute that will be on the riser

The chute will have a simple pin system to keep it locked until it is going to be opened
