chart for the question progressing that chart provides us with a

we can make interpretations ofour basic character from the natalchart

as we move forward within thislife, the planets move forward andtease the planetary position atour birth (in the natal chart).

The rules of interpretation are more defined, and simpler

aspect are only valid until the planet formingthe aspect leaves the sign it is in; an aspect-orb is not used in Horary Astrology (withexceptions at the end of the sign)

the key for timing is nebulous to say the least

it is therefore better to set the timeframe forthe question is asked

    How to ask a question

A good way to deploy a Horarychart is when we are seeking the

outcome of an action we (self orothers) have taken, or are aboutto take, and ask how the matterwould progress

if I apply for this job, will I besuccessful? (ask the question atthepoint of no return)

Is the chart fit to be judged

    (radical) William Lilly -

    1. Planetary Hour- The Lord (ruler) of the hourshould be of the same triplicity (elements) ornature as the Lord of the Ascendant.

    2. The Ascendant must not be too early (0 -3). Something has to be learned or decidedfirst .

    3. The Ascendant must not be too late (27 -30), the querent may already know the

answer.4. The Ascendant, and the planet in the

Ascendant, must describe the querent .

    6. The Moon must not lie in the Via Combusta (Thearea between 15 Libra and 15 Scorpio is termed the Via Combusta: 'Fiery Road' or'Combust Way'. It is considered to be a debilitating area, particularly detrimental to the

    Moon).

    9. Saturn should not be on the Ascendant or in

the first house, especially if retrograde.

    10. Saturn should not be in the seventh house.

Is the chart fit to be judged

    (radical) modern-

Many of William Lillys strictures are not

used today, and they do not seem to

prevent a fair judgement, they just make

reading the Horary chart somewhat less

    reliable

Is the chart fit to be judged

    (radical) modern-

void of course Moon (nothing is likely to

    happen)

the Moon does not have toperfectan

aspect before it leaves its sign to not

being void of course, it merely has to

apply to it by moiety (within orb), andthat can be to an outer planet or the

ascendant as wellCopyright John Warouw 2012

Is the chart fit to be judged

    (radical) modern-

Saturn in or ruling the seventh house(the astrologer is being restricted)

the ruler of the Ascendant in relationship

to the hour ruler (however more than

just rulership or triplicity are considered)

Aspects are only relevant apply before the planet leavesthe sign.

Applying aspects only; that means faster planets need to

be in an earlier degree to make an aspect to a slower

    planet

    Separating aspects denote past matters.

The last aspect the Moon makes often denotes the final

    Collection of Light:

when two planets do not apply to one another in aspect, but

do apply to a third, slower planet, the 3rd planet is said to

"collect" the light of the faster two planets.

can indicate that another party will become involved to help

bring the matter to a close.

collection can also help bring a matter to perfection when the

rulers of the querent and the question make andunfavourable aspect to one another, but make another

favourable major aspect to a third, heavier planet in a later

    degree.

    Translation of Light:

For a translation of light to occur, a planet that is faster than theprimary significators of the question first aspects one

    significator, and then the other.

    Mutual Reception:

Planets are said to be in reception when they are each in adignity of the other. In modern astrology, we generally only

consider mutual reception by sign, such as when the Sun is in

Scorpio and Mars is in Leo

    Moon's Aspects:

the Moon's recent aspects can show events leading up to

    the moment of the question

a look at the aspects it makes before leaving its sign can

    show upcoming events

one often finds the last conjunction the Moon made to be

    particularly descriptive

the Moon's applying aspects can confirm an answer, but

they don't in themselves usually yield one unless other

factors support that outcome. The exception is when the

Moon translates light. Copyright John Warouw 201236
