sample volume.

Ease of use. U.V. transmittant gel

trays which enable to view

ethidium bromide stained gels.

When the lid is closed, power cords must be

completly removed to allow the opening.

When the lid is open a barrier prevents power

leads to be connected to the tank.

Removable casting gates fit into grooves at each

side of the gel tray to create tape free seals. The gel is

directly poured in the gel tray outside or inside the tank.

One set of two removable casting gates is provided with

each gel tray.

APELEX DNA sequencingunits are designed withcabinet style doors and asafety lid to provide easyaccess for sample loadingwithout compromising safety.All components are shieldedand the unit cannot operateuntil the doors are closedand the safety lid is inplace. A combination ofrubber mounted, precisionmachined aluminium heattransfer plates, float glassplates and clamps, ensureexcellent heat distributionand straight sample migra-tion through the gel. A drai-nage port in the upper buf-fer tank facilitates emptyingof the running buffer. Anoptional fan kit providesadjustable thermostat iccontrol of the gel and ena-bles gels to be run at higherspeeds.
