specific needs and the aspirations of the residents.

Hyatt Regency recently commissioned a 211 key hotel developed as a part of a mixed use development

not very far from Chandigarh’s new international airport.Our design takes inspiration from the iconic

’Palace of Assembly’ building by Corbusier.

This is our first hotel sign design and wayfinding project. Being a five star deluxe property, the challenge was to integrate a sign system that worked in the background and blended with the

character of the building.

The architecture of the property physically divides it into its two utilities; a convention centre able to host 2000 guests at a time and a 400 room five

star hotel spread over three levels.

Our solution was highlighting this distinction in the information heirarchy

Our design paid homage to prevalent material and techniques in the region. We used black slate and sandstone for all our external signs which compli-mented the predominant building cladding material and stood out of the architecture by virtue of their

colours.

The photograph is of an external wall mounted direc-tion sign. All information on the stone is laser engraved into stone with an inlay of materials such as wire cut SS and epoxy paint, much like the engravings

found in Mughal architecture.

All internal signs are in golden brushe d finished SS in combination with polished teakwood veneer. All text is

electro chemically etched onto the surface of SS.

Savoy Suites is a premium brand of serviced apart-ments. The image is from their development in Greater Noida. The letters are in brushed stainless steel and dash fastened on to the stone base. Halo

illumination has been done with GE LEDs.

Part of the Carlson Group of Hotels, Radisson Blu Guwahati is a 198 key hotel located in Jalukbari,

Guwahati. Our scope was to design a wayfinding and a sign design system for the hotel interior and adapt the brand signing guidelines to their exterior and brand-ing signs. This project is currently being executed at

site.

All internal signs are in Corian with the bamboo leaf motif engraved into the surface.

All text and arrows in Corian inlay with a 3mm raising.

An option to the interior sign has been made using bamboo board polished with all the information in acrylic inlay and the leaf pattern laser etched into the

surface of the bamboo board.

The back of house signs have been designed as color-ful 10mm thk MDF tiles color coded to the various functions. The color code repeats itself at the location

as a wall paint and sign.

Part of theIHG Group, Crowne Plaza Hotel Jaipur is located on the Tonk road in the Sitapura industrial area. The hotel is opposite the Jaipur City Convention Centre famous for hosting various exhibitions. The

hotel has 218 guest rooms and suites.Our scope is to design the wayfinding and the internal sign design scheme. This project is currently at

design development at the studio.

All internal signs have been designed to reflect the patterns and colors prevalent in the state of Rajasthan. Areas within the hotel has been color

coded to aid navigation.Sandblasted SS with acrylic has been used as the

priimary materials in the design of these signs.
