This booklet is produced by OneSteel Market Mills andis intended to provide general information on a rangeof hot rolled and structural steel products. Thefollowing text will refer to OneSteel Market Mills asOneSteel.

A V A I L A B I L I T Y

OneSteel Market Mills also markets a range of largeWelded Product Structural Steel sections. Thesesections are welded from plate and are manufacturedin accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS3679.2:1996 Structural Steel - Welded I Sections.

Grade Availability300PLUS® Steel is the standard grade manufacturedfor Welded Products. 300PLUS® welded products areproduced to exceed the minimum requirements ofAS/NZS 3679.2:1996 grade 300.

A higher grade option of AS/NZS 3679.2:1996 grade400 is also available.

Other grades are subject to enquiry and this should bedirected to your nearest OneSteel Sales Office.

Length AvailabilityLengths are available from a minimum of 6 metres toa maximum of 30 metres. Table 1 indicates thestandard lengths produced.

Welded Products

Structural Steel Sections

Hot Rolled Structural Steel sections produced byOneSteel are manufactured in accordance with therequirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS3679.1:1996 Structural Steel - Hot Rolled Bars andSections.

Grade Availability300PLUS® Steel is the standard grade manufacturedby OneSteel for hot rolled Structural Steel Sections.

300PLUS® Steel for hot rolled products is produced toexceed the minimum requirements of AS/NZS3679.1:1996 grade 300.

Other grades including 300PLUSL0, AS/NZS 3679.1-350 and AS/NZS 3679.1-350L0 may also be availabledepending on the section and quantity required. Forfurther information contact your nearest OneSteelSales Office (Contact details on page 27) .

Length AvailabilityThe majority of Structural Steel Sections produced byOneSteel are available in standard length and bundleconfigurations. We would recommend that attentionbe given to the standard lengths produced byOneSteel as they are more readily available than otherlengths. Table 1 indicates the standard lengthsproduced by OneSteel in Structural Steel Sections. Forother lengths (including those in excess of 18 metres)please contact your nearest OneSteel Sales Office forfurther details (Contact details on page 27).

The actual properties obtained are dependent on both grade and heattreatment process control. As OneSteel has no control over thespringmakers’ heat treatment process, the above recommendations cannotbe guaranteed. However, springmakers with efficient heat treatment facilitieswill be able to achieve a hardness value of 50 HRC as recommended.
