Part I Follow Up: The folks on Tybee came to their senses and cancelled

plans to install the license plate scanners. Otherwise they would have

been one big lawsuit waiting to happen. Okay, Tybee you got that

one right. See you again around Orange Crush time.

Part II You already know about the passing of Nelson Mandela. I think back over the years when he was in-

carcerated, then freed then elected president of his country. I’ve often questioned myself if I would

have had the resolve to remain in prison when I only had to denounce my convictions. I usually con-

clude that I wouldn’t have done it, no matter how much I wish I had that inner strength. Knowing this

makes me even more in awe of Mr. Mandela’s wondrous triumphs. I’m not trying to eulogize him,

only recognize him and say Well Done, Sir.

Part III Falcons vs Redskins Sunday. Guess I’ll be watching the “Sound of Music Rerun” or rake leaves or

something. It’ll probably be just as interesting.

Part IV George Zimmerman got arrested and had the charges dropped again. What is it with this guy? It seems

like once a month there’s a George Zimmerman story which includes the police. I’m truly tired of

him. He got away with murder but that must not be enough for him. Must he stay in the spotlight? I’m

truly tired of him, but I said that already. I’m, I’m, I’m truly tired of him. Go Home, Sit Down and

Shut Up, George.

Part V Another of my mother’s sisters, Aunt Liz (Eliza B. Williams of Walterboro, SC) passed away last

week. Only, Aunt Mimi (Wilhemina B, Young) another of my mother’s sisters is the only sibling left,

from my parents generation. Ironically Aunt Pauline is still here, She’s my Grandmother’s sister and

she’s 103. This will be the second holiday season without my parents, last year when I lost them, I

was at such a lost I really don’t remember much, I was just going through the motions, this year is

worse. Go see your family, if you can’t call them. Teach them how to Skype (it's free) just stay in

touch with them. You won’t regret it.
