“One Man’s Opinion”
Part I Is it me or does $Dollar “Colonel” have it out for me? For some reason they make me beg for a bag every time I go in there. It doesn’t matter whether I’m buying a candy bar to sneak into the movies (shhh… don’t tell anybody) or a twenty-four pack of toilet paper, they ask me the same question. “Do you want a bag”?. “YES”, I want a bag Pleeezeee! Is there a yellow bag shortage at the $Dollar Colonel? Has the price of bags risen to the point that only certain people get one without asking? How do I qualify? Do I have to fill out some sort of application and get certified before you stop asking and just put my stuff in a bag? Does some-one have to put in a good word for me? Pleeezeee $Dollar Colonel; don’t make me beg for a bag. It’s to the point now that no matter what, I say yes and get my bag, now get this, Even if I don’t Want or Need One. I take it simply because you Made me Say I wanted one. You Will NOT save that $0.00002 for the cost of the bag on ME. Steal it from someone, YES! Gimme My Bag!......At least they stopped asking me for my change to fund the reading program for under-privileged and illiterate Martians or Plutonians or something like that….. You WILL NOT RIP ME OFF. $Dollar Colonel or Sergeant or Whatever.
Part II Interestingly, City Council is looking into an ordinance to allow Food Trucks to operate in the city. Good Move. BUT as of now, they don’t plan to allow them in the Hysterical….. I mean Historic District, ummmm where perhaps “the people are” hmmmm. They’re looking at allowing them on Augusta Ave. hmmm, Pennsylvania Ave, hmmmm and Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd…..hmmmm. But NO Broughton St, or Bull St. or Abercorn or even Oglethorpe. Protecting existing brick and mortar restaurants are a consideration in the placement of the Food Trucks. My question is Why? Granted I don’t think a Food Truck should be able to park right in front of a established restaurant, but down the block should be OK. If competition is the American Way, maybe the existing restaurants would have to provide better service or develop a less expensive menu or provide other inducements to maintain or INCREAE their business. Wouldn’t that be a benefit to the ones paying for it all. Why do we need to Protect existing businesses? When cars came along, did you know someone had to walk ahead of it carrying a lantern at night. You see how protecting the Horse and Buggy worked out. Let the market decide. Maybe some of the existing businesses need to innovate or terminate or transform. Don’t stop progress, create some guidelines be there should be NO Protected Zone. Bring on the Burritos and the Kebobs and the Deep Fried Twinkies and the Bacon Wrapped Spam Ice Cream……. Just, One Man’s Opinion.

SUDOKU
The rules of Sudoku are simple. Enter digits from 1 to 9 into the
blank spaces. Every row must contain one of each digit. So must
every column, as must every 3x3 square. Each Sudoku has a
unique solution that can be reached logically without guessing.
The Solution is at the end of the Book. No Peeking.

In this hot and humid weather, it is so easy to become DEHYDRATEDDEHYDRATEDDEHYDRATEDDEHYDRATED. Some of the first symptoms of dehydra-
tion can occur at any time and so are easy to miss.
SYMPTOMS: SYMPTOMS: SYMPTOMS: SYMPTOMS: Dry, sticky mouth, sleepiness or tiredness — children are likely to be less active than usual, thirst,
decreased urine output, no wet diapers for three hours for infants, few or no tears when crying, dry skin,
headache, constipation, and dizziness or lightheadedness:
CAUSES: CAUSES: CAUSES: CAUSES: Dehydration occurs when there isn't enough water to replace what's lost throughout the day. Your
system literally dries out. Sometimes dehydration occurs for simple reasons: You don't drink enough because
you're sick or busy, or because you lack access to drinking water. DIARRHEA, VOMITING, FEVER, EXCESSIVE DIARRHEA, VOMITING, FEVER, EXCESSIVE DIARRHEA, VOMITING, FEVER, EXCESSIVE DIARRHEA, VOMITING, FEVER, EXCESSIVE
SWEATING, SWEATING, SWEATING, SWEATING, infants AND CHILDREN AND CHILDREN AND CHILDREN AND CHILDREN are especially vulnerable because of their relatively small body weights and
high turnover of water and electrolytes. They're also the group most likely to experience diarrhea. OLDER OLDER OLDER OLDER
ADULTS: ADULTS: ADULTS: ADULTS: As you age, you become more susceptible to dehydration for several reasons: Your body's ability to
conserve water is reduced, your thirst sense becomes less acute, and you're less able to respond to changes in
temperature. PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC ILLNESSES.PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC ILLNESSES.PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC ILLNESSES.PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC ILLNESSES. Having uncontrolled or untreated diabetes puts you at high
risk of dehydration. But other chronic illnesses, such as kidney disease and heart failure, also make you more
likely to become dehydrated. Because you're less likely to feel like eating or drinking when you're sick, even
having a cold or sore throat makes you more susceptible to dehydration. A fever increases dehydration even
more. PEOPLE WORKING OR EXERCISING OUTSIDE IN HOT, HUMID WEATHER.PEOPLE WORKING OR EXERCISING OUTSIDE IN HOT, HUMID WEATHER.PEOPLE WORKING OR EXERCISING OUTSIDE IN HOT, HUMID WEATHER.PEOPLE WORKING OR EXERCISING OUTSIDE IN HOT, HUMID WEATHER. When it's hot and humid, your
risk of dehydration and heat illness increases. That's because when the air is humid, sweat can't evaporate
and cool you as quickly as it normally does, and this can lead to an increased body temperature and the need
for more fluids.
PREVENTION:PREVENTION:PREVENTION:PREVENTION: To prevent dehydration, drink plenty of fluids and eat foods high in water such as fruits and
vegetables. Letting thirst be your guide is an adequate daily guideline for most healthy people. Fluids can be
obtained not just from water but also from other beverages and foods. But, if you're exercising, don't wait for
thirst to keep up with your fluids.
