This shows the research and process for the visual aspect of my thesis. I go room by room to show what I plan to create as far as models for the game content.

Overview
*All images found herein were found via google, and are only for use as reference.
The style of house I want is a kind of typical family look – modern, but with that lived in feel. Its not
classic and its not modern-sheek, either. There’s a lot of space to play with in a house, especially one
that is lived in the way an average family does.
While the textures and all might be different in the reference images, I do plan on matching things up so
its not a horrible mish-mash of things.
Programs:
Modeling: Autodesk Maya
Game Engine: UDK
Textures: Photoshop, xNormal

Original House Plan:
I changed the house just a bit in the blockout process – one of the side bedrooms became a study, and
the funny room between the closets got split to give the closets more room.

Dining Room
I like the shape of the table and chair – though I think I like the texture of the chair better than the table.

Hm. Not sure which one of these I like better.
