The Home Affairs Committee

The Home Affairs Committee is appointed by the House of Commons to examine the expenditure, administration, and policy of the Home Office and its associated public bodies.

1. Declaration of interests

2. Formal Resolutions relating to the Committee’s business

Ordered, That the public be admitted during the examination of witnesses unless the Committee orders otherwise. Ordered, That, subject to the discretion of the Chair, written evidence received between scheduled committee meetings, over the period to 7 September 2015, where the material is directly related to a current inquiry or is otherwise judged to be of an urgent nature, shall be reported to the House for publication. Resolved, That witnesses who submit written evidence to the Committee are authorized to publish it on their own account in accordance with Standing Order No. 135, subject always to the discretion of the Chair or where the Committee orders otherwise. Resolved, That the Committee shall not consider individual cases. Resolved, That Kiki Roberts, Research Assistant to the Chair, be authorised to attend meetings of the Committee.

European Parliament conference on migration, in September 2015, in a representative capacity, and that the Chair seek the approval of the Chair of the Liaison Committee for expenditure in connection with the visit. 5. Police Information Notices

Draft Special Report (The work of the Immigration Directorates: Calais: Government Response to the Committee's Eighteenth Report of Session 2014---15), proposed by the Chair, brought up, read the first and second time, and agreed to.

The Government’s response to the Eighteenth Report from the Committee of Session 2014---15 in the last Parliament was appended to the Report. Resolved, That the Report be the First Special Report of the Committee to the House. Ordered, That the Chair make the Report to the House.

4. Out-of-Court Disposals

Draft Special Report (Out-of-Court Disposals: Government Response to the Committee's Fourteenth Report of Session 2014---15), proposed by the Chair, brought up, read the first and second time, and agreed to.
