How to Help

A Perfect Place to Live

.Imagine the possibilities! Some renovation and landscaping

Having a home of your own is something to treasure. The

new house in Norwalk has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths,

providing housing for 3 new tenants. Our goal is that

they will be able to spend the holidays in their new home.

To do that, HOPE first has to complete approximately

$25,000 in renovations, including landscaping.

Acquiring this property moves HOPE closer to our goal of

doubling our affordable housing over the next three years.

As part of that goal, HOPE plans to purchase two

buildings in Long Beach to house 16 additional people. In

addition, HOPE is exploring funding opportunities in other

cities from Santa Clarita to Burbank and down to Torrance

to continue creating affordable housing for persons with

developmental disabilities.

A Personal Touch.

Preparing for our tenants

Providing affordable housing for persons with

developmental disabilities is only the first part of what

HOPE strives to do. We also want to help our tenants

create a home. To us that means creating warm and

inviting shared spaces—living room, kitchen, and dining

area.

And, of course, landscaping. As HOPE Executive

Director Kristin Martin observes, “The yard is a blank

canvas. At some of our other homes, supporters and

volunteers have helped us to create wonderful low-water

and drought-tolerant yards. We are looking to do

something similar at our latest house.”

With your help, we can make this

house a fabulous home. Please click

on the following page to make a

tax-deductible donation to HOPE and

provide our tenants with all the comforts of home.

A sofa, tables, lamps and side chairs will make this the center of the newest HOPE affordable homes

Great cupboards. An invitation to prepare good tasting meals!

By adding a large covered patio, this will become a wonderful entertainment spot.
