With a scheduled completion in Q1 of 2022, the Grand Parkway will connect Kingland to US-59/I-69 and The Woodlands, as well as I-10. The Property is one of the last remaining large-scale sites along the Grand Parkway and is perfectly positioned as a multi-phase development which will take advantage of Houston’s long term population growth.

• Kingland has a Fresh Water Supply District in place for the entire site which will allow for reimbursement of typical development costs.
• The Houston MSA is projected to grow 66.7% by 2040, adding 4.4 million new people to the region.

The Grand Parkway has been a strong driving force of growth throughout the Houston MSA and, in many cases, has contributed to the success of numerous residential and commercial development projects. This growth is set to continue due to a recent award allowing advancement of the next stages of the Grand Parkway. The Texas Transportation Commission recently awarded Grand Parkway Infrastructure – a joint venture of road builders Ferrovial Agroman US, Granite Construction Co. and Webber, LLC – as the team to design and build the 44 mile stretch from Interstate 69/U.S. 59 near New Caney to Interstate 10 east of Baytown. The tollway extension is estimated to cost $1.25 billion.
The project is to be overseen by the Texas Department of Transportation, though the Grand Parkway team will design and build the tollway. The project will include a single lane in each direction, with sections where a second lane in each direction will allow for passing.
Once completed, the Grand Parkway will connect Kingland to US-59 (I-69), the least congested of Houston’s major freeways. This will allow Kingland’s residents quick access throughout the Greater Houston Area and efficient commute times to major job centers in the area.
grand Parkway deveLoPment timeLineWith the recent completion of Segments F & G (from US 290 to US-59/I-69) in 2016, the Grand Parkway is quickly moving forward with the construction of the portion that runs through northeast Houston, Segments H and I-1. The contract was awarded in March 2017 with construction beginning in Q2 of 2018 and open to traffic in Q1 of 2022. Combined, these segments span 37.4 miles, connecting US-59/I-69 with I-10 East. Upon completion, this portion of the Grand Parkway will be a controlled-access toll road featuring two main lanes with passing lanes for most of the segment and intermittent frontage roads.
