Factory work conditions in Britain changed for the
better between 1800 and 1850. Employers were
required to improe conditions such as poor
entilation! and the number of hours a company
could work an employee was restricted. "hildren
who worked full time were to attend some school!
and time was set aside for meals. #nspectors alsowere appointed to inestigate factory conditions.
$he legislation supporting these changes was the
Factory %ct.
