FACEBOOK AD-CAMPAIGNS

I did lead generation campaigns

for a premier B-School in India.

College location was in Pune

Target audience:

Location: (Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP, Bihar,

Jharkhand, Rajasthan)

Age group: 18-25

Education: Graduates

Course: MBA

This is how A/B testing worked for me: A/B - 1

I created 2 Ad-copies having similar target audience(behaviour) with 2 different locations.

Locations: UP, Bihar, Delhi and Jharkhand

Location: Only Delhi

Note: I took second location as Delhi since the college has highest number of admissions from this location.

This is how A/B testing worked for me:

Results:

From Ad-campaign 1. I got 6 leads costing ₹ 131.

From Ad-campaign 2. I got 10 leads costing ₹ 101.

Note: I kept low budget since it was A/B testing. This was done to understand how ads were working.

In the second Ad-campaign, I kept Delhi as it is. A narrowed down the location to major cities of UP, Bihar and Jharkhand

Locations: Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, Varanasi, Patna and Ranchi.

Locations: Only Delhi

Note: I took second location as Delhi since the college has highest number of admissions from this location.

This is how A/B testing worked for me:

From Ad-campaign 3. I got 10 leads costing ₹ 90.

From Ad-campaign 2. I got 11 leads costing ₹ 92.

Note: I kept low budget since it was A/B testing. This was done to understand how ads were working.

After analyzing 1,2,3 and 4 Ad-campaign, I understood most of the conversions were from major cities and the only thing that was common is all the leads came from smartphones.

In A/B testing 3. I kept similar location what I changed was the behaviour to smartphones only.

Note: I took second location as Delhi since the college has highest number of admissions from this location.

From Ad-campaign 2. I got 16 leads costing ₹ 55.
