How I made my front cover

I took my original image and placed it over the template given.
I took this image I took accidentally, placed it over the image for the front cover.
I changed the bit circled in red to ‘overlay’ so that the image blended into the other, creating the effect above.
I used the lasso tool, outlined myself and pressed Ctrl+J to add it to a new layer – separating it from the background.
I added the artists name, in the font ‘Georgia’, in pink. I did the same for the album name – except it was in ‘Lucida Handwriting’, in a darker shade of pink.
I added the drop shadow effect to both of the texts – at 100% and 6. (See middle picture)
I positioned the text like it is above – I put the album name behind my head a little – it is still readable but gives it a different effect.
After separating the person from the background, I moved that new layer (layer 1) to the top of the layers so that anything else I add will go behind it (if positioned around the person).
The final product.
