How is your media project similar to other media texts?

CD Cover - FrontThe CD cover that we have created is very similar to other covers that are created within the industry. We began putting a close up of the artists faces on the front of the cover. This allows people to people able to see that he is the main star and matches other artists designs. This was done to portray the gangster image of D-Rail.

When you look at Coolios and Eminems front cover you can see that he has the name of the song on the front just like we have the albums name on the front of ours. Coolios also has his face on the cover of his gangster paradise and you can also see that Eminem also has an image of him on his cover.

CD Cover - BackYou can see further similarities with our back cover and other covers. We put the barcode and the copyright text on the back. This was done so that the information was out of the way and wasn't taking up too much of the space that was needed. we also put the studios logo on the lower right of the back cover. Since this was a album cover we don't want to put too much on the back page, so we just put a small quote that was once said by D-Rail himself. As you can see

on Coolio’s back cover he has a black image of himself and street lights behind him. along with this he also has his production companys logo on the side.

VideoWithin our video we tried to incorporate different similarities that you can see from one music video to another. From the screenshot to the left you can see a form of ritual dancing which we had done near the end of our video.This allows our video to look industrial standard and have all the aspects that are needed to make a professional music video.There were also other elements in the music video that can be seen in other videos like the greenscreen and the tpes of shots/angles of shots that were taken.

WebsiteFor the website we made sure that alll the key elements were put into the website so that it match any other website that you may have seen. This helped the website look very professional and have all the motifs of any other artist website.The first thing that stands out is the About page on D-Rail. this is seen half way into the website and allows the person to read more about this artist.This can also be found in coolios website where he also talks about himself and his story.Furthermore additionally to the abouts page there is also a link to social media for the artist.

WebsiteAnother element that can be found is the tour dates and events that the audience can come and attend. For our website we created three different events for our fans to attend and there is also a subscription box where you are able to get updated on new events.This can be seen in other artists like katy Perrys website and coolios website.Along with this there are other similarities like gallery and music video on the page.
