    Hidden in the sliver of the Northern Italian wine region of Liguria is the beautiful Cinque Terre. Here wine making is ancient and heroic, in the sense that modern technology never really made it's foot print and the gradient of hills makes it difficult to farm. Here Walter de Batté wines are born and made with

    artisinally made with old school methods that shun conformity and accentuate taste. This Tonos Rosso is a structured and full-bodied wine from a co planted vineyard of mostly sangiovese, with small amounts of merlot and vermentino nero grapes. It is aged for more than 2 years in medium oak casks and springs out scents of red fruit, balsamic, herbs with rich and complex characteristics and finishing like velvet.
