How to Access ProQuest ABI Inform/Global

With ProQuest, it is not necessary to include Boolean,
such as AND, OR, NOT. The less dispensable keywords, the better the result. If you wrote,
“Slavery in the US and the Constitution”, it will include “in the and” as highlighted words that may
have nothing to do with the topic. US Slavery Constitution are enough keywords for the database.
You will notice
when you start writing a topic, ProQuest will assist in narrowing the topic.
You could limit the keywords to areas in the article.
You could add Boolean. By writing OR, we are including
articles about the Constitution OR the Bill of Rights, but NOT articles on later presidents such as Lincoln or Grant.
You will want to
make sure the Full Text is clicked; there is also a Peer
Review option. You could limit the
publication Dates.
There are
options as to the format.
You could choose a type of document.

Other Results.
When you find articles in your key
subject area and want to limit articles by a sub-topic in the research, click Search Within. The database will
list the articles on your narrowed subject based on your added keyword.
We will suggest articles that limit the research to our subject that highlights Antebellum era.
