How to Apply for College of Engineering Scholarships

1) Open up the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (WiSH)

2) Sign in with your NetID

After you’ve applied for admission to UW-Madison and activated your NetID you can begin applying for scholarships. You do not have to wait until you’ve received an admissions decision to apply for scholarships.

3) You will be taken to the brief “GeneralApplication.” This is a basic set of questionsthat will help us find which scholarships youare eligible for.

4) Based on your answers in the General Application, you will then be directed to fill out more specific application questions, called the “College of Engineering - Incoming Freshman (Conditional) Application."

This is a single application for the Engineering Freshman Achievement Award. By completing this application, you will be considered for most scholarship funds available to incoming freshman.

Some applicants are also eligible for the Leaders in Engineering Excellence and Diversity (LEED) scholarships. To be considered for the LEED Scholars Program, you must complete a UW-Madison admissions application and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to UW-Madison by December 1, 2019.

You can change, edit, or update any of your answers up until the scholarship deadline of February 1st, 2020. Even if you hit “Finish and Submit” you can change anything until the deadline.

You will also see other applications in the navigation panel on the left hand side including, but not limited to, the “Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) Chapter Scholarships Application."

To see the record of information we have based on your UW-Madison application, click "Applicant Record." If you believe any of this info is incorrect please contact [email protected].

5) From there, a list of "OtherRecommended Opportunities" will becreated for you containing any additional scholarships for which you are eligible.

6) To apply to any scholarships, click the “Apply” button to be taken to the application. Again, you can change, edit or update any part of your application until the February 1st, 2020 deadline.

You can see all of your applications, including those in-progress and submitted, by clicking on the “My Applications” button in the top left corner.
