In the few articles that I have compiled on how to become a good speaker and from herepersonal experience, below are the recurring things that a good speaker must have.

I tried my best to nuance these things to advocacy speakers.

following:a. Their advocacyb. Their Groupc. Their Goalsd. The Specific project that they are advocatinge. Know your audience

    i. Their experiencesii. Their dispositions in life

Must be prepared, this thing must not be taken lightly, if the speaker is properlyprepared, half of the work is done. The speech is only a matter of delivery.

What are you trying to accomplish? What impact do you want to have on youraudience? Are you looking to inform? Inspire? Persuade? Knowing your ultimatepurpose and desired outcome will help you stay focused through the preparationprocess. - OLIVER ADRIA

    2. Manner: The way you say it:a. Make it simple and easy to understandb. Go direct to the pointc. Be funny if you can, people hate boring speakers but they do love to laugh, be

interesting. Humor keeps peoples attentiond. Go emotional, appeal to emotion, tell people how your advocacy has direct

impact to your audience lives.e. Make eye - contact, this makes a speaker more credible and more believable.

    f. Make the speech personal. Talk as if you are communicating to themindividually. Tell personal Stories, Storytelling puts an audience at ease, humanizes you as a speaker, and makes your messages more memorable. It isthe most powerful tool in a speakers toolkit - Susan Tardanico
