In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to:


1. Build lading pages using Thrive Landing Pages and Content Builder


2. Connect an Opt-in Form from your landing page to your Email Marketing Automation tool (Drip)


3. Set up a Thank You/Download page that contains Lead Magnet


4. Test if your Drip Email Campaign is working


Let’s start!


First, you need to sign up


for a Thrive Themes membership


Go to thrivethemes.com


Scroll down until you see theSee Plans & Pricing button


Click that button


Look for this section on the next page


You can choose a Quarterly or Yearly membership


Once you have chosen your desired membership type,


Click Add To Cart


You will be redirected to the checkout page


Enter the required information


Then click Checkout with PayPal


If you don’t have PayPal, you can still pay using these:


After paying, you need to download and install the plugin


Go back to thrivethemes.com


Click Member Login


Enter your Username and Password


Then click Login


This is your Thrive Themes membership dashboard


Scroll down to the plugins section


Look for Thrive Content Builder & Landing Pages


Click Download


After downloading, upload the plugin to your WordPress site


From your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New


Click Upload Plugin


Click Choose File


From your PC, select the plugin you just downloaded


Click Open


Click Install Now


The plugin has been installed


Now you need to activate the plugin. Click Activate Plugin.


Congratulations! The plugin is now activated.


Next, you need to enter your license key


so that you can use this plugin


Go back to your Thrive Themes Member Dashboard


Click My Account & License Keys


Copy your license key


From your WordPress dashboard,


Go to Thrive Dashboard > License Manager located on the left

sidebar


Enter the email address you used to sign up


and your license key


Click Activate License


Your license is now activated


Now, let’s build the landing page.


From your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages > Add New


Enter a title then click Publish


After publishing your page, click Edit With Thrive Content Builder


This is the Thrive Content Builder


Click the dropdown and select Choose landing page


This will open the landing page templates


You can choose from the default landing pages


or download templates from the Thrive Template Cloud


You can filter the templates by tag


or if you know what you’re looking for


type it in the search bar


Let’s select this one


Click Load Landing Page


This is the landing page template


It’s already designed to attract visitors to opt-in


All you need to do is change the content


Edit the header as your lead magnet’s title


These are your editing tools


Edit lead magnet copy - highlight the benefits


Change image - use your lead magnet’s cover


Choose cover photo and Insert into post


Change the image size here


Drag the slider or enter a pixel value


Change the margins and paddings here


Change the image’s alignment here


Edit the Call to Action button


Click Link Settings


Edit Call to Action button text


Your Call to Action button


Edit the margins and paddings as desired


Click Save Changes


Alright! You have created your landing page.


We will now connect your landing page to Drip’s Marketing

Automation service


Click your Call to Action button


Click Event Manager


This is the Event Manager window


Click Edit this Lightbox


This is your Lightbox or Opt-in Form


Click the image to change it


Click Change Image


Choose image and Insert into post


Edit the margins and padding of the image


Edit Lightbox copy


Change font size here


Change line height here


Change font color here


Click Text Color for more color options


You can enter hexadecimal color code here


Let’s choose #ff9212 to match the color of the image, then click OK


Voila! The font color has changed


Edit margins and paddings as desired


Click this section below


Click Edit Components


Choose Submit Button to edit Call to Action text


Edit Call to Action text here


Edit margins and paddings of the email catcher section as desired


Choose the position of the elements:vertical or horizontal


Alright! We will now connect a Drip email campaign.


Click Connect With Service


Click Create a new Connection


Click Go to the next step


Your Drip account should already be connected to your WordPress

account

Choose Drip as your API


Choose Mailing List for the integration


Select your Drip

campaign


Select Double optin

then click Save


Check the box under Required Field for Email


You can also display the Name field


Check the box under Required Field for Name if needed


Click Save


Click Save Changes


Voila! The finished Lightbox.


Alright! Your Opt-in Form is now connected to your Drip campaign.


After signing up, you need to thank you new subscriber


This is called relationship-building and it’s common courtesy.


That’s why you will redirect them to a Thank You page


This is the Action After Signup section


Click the dropdown menu


Select Redirect to URL


We will create the Thank You page first


Go back to your WordPress dashboard or


Open your WordPress dashboard in a new tab


Go to Pages > Add New


Add a title


Click Publish


Click Edit with Thrive Content Builder


Click Thrive landing Pages dropdown


Select Choose landing page


Filter by Tag section


Check download


Choose a landing page


Click Load Landing Page


This is your Thank You page template


Click the image to change it to your own


Edit the Thank You page copy


Edit the Call to Action button


Click Link Settings


Edit the button’s text


Then upload your lead magnet to your Media Library


to connect your lead magnet to your Thank You page


From your WordPress dashboard, go to Media > Add New


Upload your lead magnet by dragging and dropping it here


After uploading, click Edit. It will open a new tab.


Copy your lead magnet’s File URL


Paste it to your Thank You page


Check New window (opens the download in a new window)


Check No follow(so that Google will not find this freebie)


Edit the Thank You page as you see fit


This is how my Thank You page looks like


Don’t forget to save your changes


You can Preview the page you just created


Your published Thank You page


Alright! Your Thank You page is now set up.


Now let’s connect your Thank You page to your Landing page


Go back to your WordPress dashboard


Go to Pages > All Pages


Look for your Thank You page and click it


Copy your Thank You page’s link


Go back to your Drip lightbox’s Action After Signup section


Paste your Thank You page URL here


Click Save

Make changes as you see fit

Now, let’s test if your landing page is working


Go back to your WordPress Dashboard


Go to Pages > All Pages


Look for your Landing Page and click it


Click the link


Click Yes, I Want To Get My Free Checklist!


The lightbox appears


Enter your email address to test it out


Then click Give Me My Free Checklist


You will be taken to the Thank you page after opting in


You will also receive a confirmation email


Click Confirm subscription


Your email campaign will now send the lead magnet,


if it is correctly set up


Here’s the first email for the campaign


Here’s how the email looks like


Your email must contain the link to your Thank You/Download page


Try to click the link


You will be taken to your Thank You page


Click Download My Free Checklist


This is your lead magnet
