It is not about thinking you're perfect — because nobody is — but knowing that you are worthy of being loved and accepted

human need
But in this day and
age, high self esteem
has been directly linked with
success
If you struggle with low self-esteem and feelings of inadequacy, these are some suggestions to gain self confidence and increased self-esteem
Step 1. Put in writing
Write a list of your top 7 qualities; these are what make you unique
Carry these around with you every day and read them to remind yourself who you are and what makes you special
Don't apologise before or after you talk to someone about something as this takes away any strength from you
Don't apologise for yourself, be strong and assertive
Step 2. Do not put yourself down When you hear negative
comments in your head, tell yourself to stop
Step 3. Accept complimentBeing able to accept, believe and feel good about accepting compliments is crucial to cultivating a high self-confidence

Step 4. Get out of your comfort zone

Say your positive affirmations out loud while looking in the mirror as this makes them stronger because you are connecting with yourself
