You can buy in a number of different ways:

Bid in the saleroom

Leave a commission bid

Bid over the telephone

To bid in one of our salerooms in

Oxford, Cheltenham, or Abingdon,

you need to register your details in

advance of the sale date.

The front desk will take your details

and give you a paddle number.

To bid on a lot, just raise your paddle

and catch the auctioneer’s attention.

BID IN THE SALEROOM




You may leave us a commission bid

over the phone, via email, or fill out a

good old-fashioned form.

Simply state the maximum price you’d

l ike to pay for a specific lot and we

will purchase it for you at the lowest

possible price.

We will still take the reserve price

and other bids into account.

LEAVE A COMMISSION BID




Another option is to book a telephone

line before the sale.

You must state what lots you’d like to

bid for and we will call when the piece

is coming up.

Then, you decide when to bid by

speaking to someone over the phone

whilst the auction is in progress.

BID OVER THE TELEPHONE




You can register with The Saleroom

for live online bidding, and to watch a

live video stream of the auction.

Bidding online costs an extra 3% plus

VAT of the final selling price.

If you’re not able to view the item,

please give us a call for a condition

report.

Each lot is subject to commission on the

hammer price of 20% plus VAT – a total of

24%.

For example:

Hammer price: £100

Commission: 20% of £100 = £20

VAT: 20% of £20 = £4

Total price: £124

Please arrange collection of your

purchase within one week of the

auction sale.

Mallams offer postage where possible

with small items from Abingdon &

Oxford.
