How to Change Your Air Filter

An instructional how-to on changing the air filter in your apartment.

*Please contact the office if you prefer to have maintenance do this for you.

Step 1

Locate your air conditioner panel inside your apartment.

Step 2

Remove the two screws

securing the panel onto the

unit.

Remove the panel.

Step 3

Remove dirty air filter.

Step 4

Determine the size of filter you will need.

One Bedrooms-14X18X1Two & Three bedrooms-

16X18X1

Step 5(One bedroom AC unit)

Replace the filter.

Make sure the arrow on the side of the filter is pointing towards the AC unit.

(Two & Three bedroom AC unit)

Step 6

Replace panel & secure with original

screws.

Two & three bedroom

filter first by returning the metal piece holding filter

in place.

How often do I need to change my AC filter?-At least every 3-4 weeks.

What can I benefit from changing my AC filter regularly?-Lower electric bills, less maintenance issues,

improved air quality in apartment, reduce carbon footprint by using less energy

Where can I dispose of old filters?-Toss them in your nearest dumpster!

Where can I get new filters?-Stop by the office during business hours and receive

free air filters to fit your specific AC unit.
