How-To Create an Administrator and

Standard User account in Windows 8

Step 1: Hold down the “Windows” key on your

keyboard AND tap the “R” key

Step 2: Type “control” in the dialogue box that appears

The Windows Control Panel will popup. Click on “User Accounts

and Family Safety” or “User Accounts”

Look at your UserName. Below it you will be categorized as an Administrator or Standard user
