How to Export the Transparent TIF Tags with Maps

Downloader For Google Satellite

First you need to download Maps Downloader For Google Satellite and install it. You can see the following picture when it launched.

Click the “Select Region” button to choose any region you want to download. As shown below.

Double click the left mouse, it will display “ New Task” , make sure you have choosed “ Labels”, and then select level 5 to be downloaded, as you can see the following picture.

When download successfully, you will be asked whether to export the picture, please click " Yes" button, then select the two task in the displayed " Select Task", the former is the satellite map, the next one is the road name label data( Transparent Label)

Click the " OK" button it will display the "Export| Mosaic to Images" dialog box, save type as "GeoTIF (*. Tif)", as shown below.

Click the "Output " button , when asked whether overlay, select "No".After the export is finished , you can view pictures using ordinary software to view satellite maps

and transparent label information as shown below.

We can load data in ArcMap to view the overlayed effect. First, start ArcMap (10.2 version) and click on the "+" button to load the data , as shown below.

Make sure to load the satellite map first , then loaded the label map, ensure the label on the satellite map above is not blocked, as shown below.

If the picture you exported is black, you can click on the right of the layer, select "Properties" menu. As the following picture.

Choose "Symbology" tab in the dialog box, and then select "Display Background Value" (the default will be black and transparent)

When you enlarge the picture , and view the overlay effect , if you found it was not ideal, with the original Google Maps display very different ( because Alpha channel transparency is unopened ).Right-click on the label layer , and select "Properties" in the pop-up menu in the Layer Properties dialog box is displayed , as shown below.

Select "Alpha" option in the layer properties dialog box, select the fourth band "Band_4" and later in the band list, as shown below.

After complete the settings , click "OK ",it will show the results of Google Maps artwork exactly the same effect , as shown below.
