There’s so much to learn about the Broads, and Broads Tours provide educational discovery trips for schools and groups.

Give us a call – we’ll tailor individual trips to cover the educational requirements and needs of your group. We can cover a variety of Broadland topics, such as tourism, conservation, the history and development of the area and the local wildlife. We can cater for groups of between 20 and 60 people.

We’re happy to take coach parties and groups on all our timetabled river trips. We offer generous discounts for parties of 15 or more, and have a free coach park adjacent to boarding points.We can also arrange special exclusive trips for groups between November and March. Experience the very best of Norfolk by combining a nostalgic steam journey on the Bure Valley Railway with a Broads Tours river trip.The Bure Valley Railway’s narrow-gauge trains run from Aylsham to Wroxham, and our boatyard is just a short walk from the station. You can then board one of our luxury double-decker passenger boats and relax as our commentary tells you all you need to know about your beautiful surroundings. Each December, a special visitor lands his sleigh on the top deck of the Vintage Broadsman and children delight in meeting the man in red while grown-ups take in the winter scenery. Enjoy an hour’s festive fun as Santa’s pixies serve up mince pies and mulled wine to the grown-ups and a festive cookie and soft drinks for the children. We’ll sing Christmas songs and there’ll be a Christmas colouring and drawing competition and a Christmas quiz for the children.

A visit from Santa wouldn’t be complete without presents, and he has a gift for each child on board aged between one and 15. (Presents for the under ones can be purchased for just £5.)

Keep within speed limits. Plan your journey and stick to your stated time. We require at least two adults on our day boats (at our discretion, we may allow one adult with children of 14 years or over). We provide buoyancy aids free of charge.

Day CruiserAvailable full days onlyOur day cruisers seat up to eight people and are equipped with a toilet and galley containing a two-ring hob, grill, fridge, cooking utensils and all the cutlery and crockery you need. A split sliding canopy over the seating area allows alfresco dining on sunny days. Day cruisers are available for full day hire only (10am-5pm) and pre-booking is essential.

Large Electric Day BoatAvailable full days onlyFor a larger party, how about one of our large electric boats? They’re quiet, eco-friendly and seat up to 11 people. These are available for full day hire only (9am-5pm) and pre-booking is essential.

Standard Day BoatAvailable by the hourOur standard day boats seat up to eight people, are simple to operate and have a canvas “cabriolet-style” cover to protect you from the elements. They’re available to hire by the hour, part or full day on a first-come, first-served basis from 9am-5.30pm.

Sorry we do not accept pre-bookings on standard day boats. Minimum hire period two hours during peak season.

Standard Day Boat with wheelchair accessOne of our standard day boats has been specially modified to accommodate wheelchair users, fitted with an electric lift and easy-to-board ramp. If you’d like to hire this boat you’ll need to book in advance – we usually recommend a minimum of three hours. A 300kg weight restriction applies when using the lift. Extra assistance is available to board this boat. Please note that the maximum number of passengers on this boat is six.
