Using a mixture of drama and music, it followed the lives of the students and faculty at the fictional New York City High School for the Performing Arts. Firstly, I love this "old school" catchy song “Remember My Name” sung by Irene Cara because it takes me to my “happy space” when I listen to it(something we should all do regularly with music or anything else that puts us in a "good place").. Secondly the lyrics inspire me to reach higher, stretch myself and follow my passion and dreams. The lyrics tell me that the best is yet to come because I am in the process of learning how to fly. It’s a song that’s gritty and ballsy because it calls us to CELEBRATE WHO WE ARE unashamedly... And it echoes the words of the great Master Teacher who taught: "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify God who is in heaven" – Jesus (Matthew 5:14-16) HERE ARE THE LYRICS THAT LEAP OUT AT ME. MAY THEY ALSO ENCOURAGE YOU TOO.. You ain't seen the best of me yet Give me time, I'll make you forget the rest I've got more in me, and you can set it free I can catch the moon in my hand Don't you know who I am? Remember my name I'm gonna learn how to fly (High) I feel it coming together.. And thirdly when I get past the technical quality of this video and the clothes and hairstyles of that era, I find myself loving the passion of the students in it. Why? Because they are pouring their hearts and souls into their training in order to reach their full potential so they can BE all they can BE in their chosen field. You see they have found their passion and now they are developing their potential in the same way a sculptor sculpts and chisels a masterpiece statue out of raw stone material. For "Genius" comes disguised in work clothes whilst others sleep. And working and sculpting our passion once we find it, is something we must all do if we wish to become who we really are and who we are called to BE.. No matter how old or young we may be. For it is never too late to turn a new page. Which leads us to Today's Inspirational Quote and Note.. 1/3

How To Find Your Passion and Mission Statement

BACKGROUND TO THE ABOVE INSPIRATIONAL VIDEO

The above inspirational tribute video is from Fame the American television series originally produced between 1982and 1987. Using a mixture of drama and music, it followed the lives of the students and faculty at the fictional NewYork City High School for the Performing Arts.

Firstly, I love this "old school" catchy song “Remember My Name” sung by Irene Cara because it takes me to my“happy space” when I listen to it(something we should all do regularly with music or anything else that puts us in a"good place")..

Secondly the lyrics inspire me to reach higher, stretch myself and follow my passion and dreams. The lyrics tell methat the best is yet to come because I am in the process of learning how to fly. It’s a song that’s gritty and ballsybecause it calls us to CELEBRATE WHO WE ARE unashamedly...

And it echoes the words of the great Master Teacher who taught:

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under abasket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before people in sucha way that they may see your good works, and glorify God who is in heaven" – Jesus (Matthew 5:14-16)

HERE ARE THE LYRICS THAT LEAP OUT AT ME.MAY THEY ALSO ENCOURAGE YOU TOO..

You ain't seen the best of me yetGive me time, I'll make you forget the restI've got more in me, and you can set it freeI can catch the moon in my handDon't you know who I am?Remember my name

I'm gonna learn how to fly (High)I feel it coming together..

And thirdly when I get past the technical quality of this video and the clothes and hairstyles of that era, I find myselfloving the passion of the students in it. Why? Because they are pouring their hearts and souls into their training inorder to reach their full potential so they can BE all they can BE in their chosen field.

You see they have found their passion and now they are developing their potential in the same way a sculptorsculpts and chisels a masterpiece statue out of raw stone material.

For "Genius" comes disguised in work clothes whilst others sleep. And working and sculpting our passion once wefind it, is something we must all do if we wish to become who we really are and who we are called to BE.. No matterhow old or young we may be. For it is never too late to turn a new page.

Which leads us to Today's Inspirational Quote and Note..

FIND YOUR PASSION AND YOU’LL FIND YOUR PURPOSE AND MISSION IN LIFE"

Religious Disclaimer Hide +

Religious Disclaimer: Although my writing may mention God & Spirit (Higher Power, The Great Spirit, UniversalIntelligence etc). My writing does not have any particular religious agenda, but rather a practical personaldevelopment application agenda. For if anyone's religion is not practical and beneficial in ones life today then whatuse is it? For the Kingdom of God is "NOW" not some later "pie in the sky" hope for the future afterlife(although I dobelieve in the afterlife)..

So my goal is to help you get more happiness, focus and true success in your life "NOW". That said, I believe in thefreedom of religion, the freedom to believe or not believe in God. I also believe that love, respect, and truth in apersons life towards themselves and others is fruit and evidence of a truly spiritual life (no matter what "religion" or"non religion" a person claims or doesn't claim to be. For God is "LOVE" and where "LOVE" is "God" is). I alsobelieve in the Golden rule that Jesus and others taught, in that we should aim to treat others the way we would wantto be treated.

And finally, I think it quite apt to include Gandhi's reply (Gandhi being the man who brought the English Empire to itsknees), when he was once asked if he was a Hindu? His reply simply being:

"Yes I am. I am also a Christian, a Muslim, a Buddhist and a Jew" - Gandhi ..

Did you know that there is a Grand Adventure waiting for you to take your part in it? Yes did you knowthat you were meant to be the Hero or Heroine in your own story?..

But how do we find this hero within us? How do we find who we really are so we can boldly beginwriting our own heroic adventure..

Well success always leaves clues.

And the clues to finding your purpose and mission in life are the healthy desires inyour heart aka your passions, gifts and strengths that you might have lost, buried, put on the shelf or yet to find!..

But the Good News is that when you truly find your passion, and live from this placeof doing what you truly love, then if you persist, you will find your purpose andmission in life!.. Because passion leads to purpose, mission and prosperity as anatural by product!..

YES..

"Have you ever met someone who is truly passionate about something? And who truly believes in what they are doing and eats, breathes andsleeps it? While you might not necessarily share their same passions, that doesn't mean that you can't appreciate their belief or theirconviction.

And in the vast majority of cases you probably will. People with genuinepassion are magnetic, they're charismatic and they're inspiring. Theseare the leaders of the world and the people who shape change.

That's all good and well though, but what if you don't have an obvious passion?..

What if you're someone with 'passing interests' rather than passions?..

What if you can't sum up who you are or what you believe with a goal or a statement?..

Simple: Most of us will have multiple different interests and hobbies though often there will be an undercurrentrunning between them and often that undercurrent will be partly inspired by your beliefs. Finding that undercurrent isthe plan. Because when you find that undercurrent, right there is your mission and right there is".. - (End Excerpt)
