Gparted application is a Gnome Partion Editor app for graphically management of disk partitions. It basically helps in creating, resizing, copying, checking, deleting and reorganizing disk partitions. This is supposed to be a very useful tool for creating space for new OS, can reorganize disk usage and capable of copying data from hard disk and reflecting one disk image partition with another.

Gparted Features :-

It helps you in creating Partition table. Allows you to align partitions to typical

cylindrical boundaries or medibyte. You can easily create,labe,copy,delete,check or

even resize partitions. It helps in retrieving data from the lost partition. Gparted helps in enabling and disabling

partition flags. Supports all types of devices having sector

sizes of 512,1024,2048,and 4096 byte.

How to install Gparted -

For installing Gparted in your Windows system, you will first require to install it in your USB flash drive.You can install it manually or by using Unetbootin method.

Gparted can be installed manually as :- Download Gparted live zip file. If you have a partition of 200MB in your USB

drive formatted with Fat file system, then you can go to next step.

Extract all the contents of zip files to FAT16/FAT32 partition in the USB drive and copy it in USB's top directory.

Now, browse the USB flash drive and click on makeboot.bat in dir utils/win32 and follow the instructions given there.

Now, you can install Gparted by using Unetbootin method in the following ways :-

First of all, install Unetbootin in your system. If Unetbootin has already installed in your

system, then just move forward with the next button.

Download Gparted Live iso file and run Unetbootin program.

Now, follow every instructions given there and install Gparted Live.

Common Errors of Gparted :-

Unable to satisfy all contraints on the partition.

Error messages could occur while resizing NTFS partition.

Failed to check mount state. Error may occurs while reading block at sector xxx. Problems while creating partition in USB.

But, these errors could be fixed during creating partition on USB by the use of fdisk and deleting the partitions one by one and writing on the USB between the time gap in the deletion process.
