How to Import Test Questions from Publishers into Blackboard Learn

1. Export your test bank questions from TestGen, etc. using the Blackboard format. 2. Login to Blackboard 3. Enter your course that you would like to import the test questions into 4. From the Course Management Control Panel, select Course Tools 5. From the Course Tools list click on Tests, Surveys, and Pools 6. From the Tests, Surveys, and Pools screen, select Pools 7. From the top of the Pools screen, click the Import Pool button 8. Click Browse My Computer and locate your previously exported test bank 9. Click Submit to begin the import into Blackboard

Using the Test Bank Questions

1. Click on Course Content from your course menu 2. Click on the Create Assessment Button 3. Click the Test link from the Create Assessment list 4. Click the Create Button from the Add Test section 5. Enter a test name in the Test Information Screen and Click Submit to continue 6. Click the Reuse Question button from the Test Canvas Screen 7. Select the Find Questions link from the Reuse Question list 8. IMPORTANT!! – maximize the Find Questions screen 9. Click on the Pools link located on the left side of the Find Questions Screen 10. Select a chapter/unit/etc (depending on how the questions were exported) or use all Pools 11. Select the questions from the right side of the screen to include in the exam by clicking on the

check box located to the left of the question 12. Once all questions are selected, click submit. 13. Adjust question points, order, etc. Click submit when done
