1. ResearchBefore any interview you must do your research as you will be expected to know a little about the business that you’re looking to join.

Start with the company website- What does it do and what services does it

offer? When was the company formed and what is

their vision?

Another place to research is on their LinkedIn company page. You could even search the profile page of your interviewer.

Expanding your company knowledge will not only boost your confidence but will create a great first impression.

2. Practise and planning

The interviewer will want to get to know you and will allow you opportunities to sell yourself.

Think about what questions the interviewer may ask you and plan your responses to promote yourself in the best way possible.

Example questions: Why are you looking for a career in recruitment?

What skills do you have to bring to the company and the role?

What are your strengths (and weaknesses)?

2. Practise and Planning

It is also useful for you to take your own pre-prepared questions with you.

By taking a notebook and pen you can show your own initiative and eagerness to learn.

Plan your arrival. This may sound obvious but you will need to know where the company is based and how to arrive on time. Always aim to arrive early to allow yourself time to relax .

If you are unavoidably late you MUST call the interviewer to let them know, so it is advisable to have their number saved to your phone.
