Tutorial – How to Log Into Your WordPress Backend WordPress is the blog software that is installed on your website. In order to manage your WordPress blog and do things like add new content and images, change your blog's appearance, etc., you need to first log into your WordPress backend (also referred to as your WordPress admin area). To log in to your WordPress backend, open your Internet browser of choice (such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome). In the address bar type in your domain name and add /wp-admin to the end of it. For example, if your domain name is www.mysite.com , you would get to your WordPress backend by going to www.mysite.com/wp-admin . You'll then see the page below: You will need to enter your username and password to log into your WordPress backend. Tutorial – How to Log Into Your WordPress Backend

WordPress is the blog software that is installed on your website. In order to manage your WordPress blog and do things like add new content and images, change your blog's appearance, etc., you need to first log into your WordPress backend (also referred to as your WordPress admin area). To log in to your WordPress backend, open your Internet browser of choice (such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome). In the address bar type in your domain name and add /wp-admin to the end of it.

For example, if your domain name is www.mysite.com, you would get to your WordPress backend by going to www.mysite.com/wp-admin

You will need to enter your username and password to log into your WordPress backend. You received your WordPress username and password in you’re My Creative Site Designs website ready email (see the image below).

Please note that you will receive a unique username and password. Do not use the username and password you see in this example! If you need help retrieving your username and password, please contact Customer Support by calling 1-877-586-4694, emailing [email protected], or submitting a support ticket at http://www.brainhost.com/help/. Once you enter your username and password, you'll be taken to your WordPress backend screen, which will look something like this (Note: your WordPress backend may not look exactly like the one shown here):

The navigation menu on the left-hand side is where you will go to perform all of the tasks for your WordPress site:

As you can see, your menu has the following components:

• Dashboard • Posts • Media • Links • Pages • Comments • Appearance • Plugins • Users • Tools • Settings

You can hover your mouse over any of these menu options and an arrow will appear that will allow you to expand the menu to see more options:
