ProceduresStep 1- Prepare all the materials listed in the last section. Put them on a clean and workable tableStep 2- Before doing the base of the wreath, dry the flower first because it will require more time

Tip 1There are several ways of drying flowers. First, one of the easiest

way is hanging. However, there is another easy method is to use silica gel. If you decide to use this method,

you will need to buy a lot of silica gel, but it will not cause you very

much.

Step 3- After you have decided how to dry the flowers, you can start immediately. The method used this time for drying flower is by silica gel. So before starting, you must make sure that you have enough materials.

Step 4-First, put a layer of plastic tablecloth on the table. Then, fill the plastic container of 1 inch of silica gel using a ruler.

Tip 2Before you pour silica gel into the con-tainer, make sure that the silica gel is in blue color. The purpose of silica gel is to absorb the water of the flower in order to dry the flowers up. If the color of silica gel is in blue, it means that it is new and have better effect of absorbing

the water of the flower. Step 5- Second, cut the flower bud off the plant about 8 cm. Try to put the flower bud into the container. If the container have to be closed with the flower bud , you have to cut the stem of the flower. Then, close the container tightly with the cover and put it in a dry place that is not used often.

Tip 3If the container have to be closed with the flower bud crashed, you

have to cut the stem of the flower bud shorter. Because the shape of the flower will be changed if you

press on the flower.

Tip 4If you feel that the container is not closed tightly, you can wrap around

the container using perservative paper (plastic wrap). It is more effec-tive as it doesn’t allow air to pass

through.

Step 6- After 4 to 5 days, the flowers will be dried completely and it is time to take them out. Put them in another container lightly and try not to put the big flower on the small flower. If you think the flower buds are too small, you can use floral wire to tie them together.

Tip 6 DO NOT bent the vine too

quickly! Bent it little by little care-fully and even if it breaks, you

can connect them back together using the floral wire when you are making the shape of the wreath.

Step 8- First if you are using the vine that is hard to be bent, them in water for one day or two nights if you need the bathtub often. After two nights, the vine should be enable to get bent to make circle.

Step 9- After you have took out the vine from the bathtub, you can start to make the shape of the wreath.

Step 10- Then, bent the vine little by little. When it becomes a circle, use the floral wire to fix the position.

Tip 5The base of the wreath with a circle of vine is stronger

and can be hang on the wall or doors for longer time than

wreaths that are made in other materials.

Step 7- Let focus on the base of the wreath now! The base of the wreath can be made using one or many materials, for example, vine, metal wire and etc. Here the wreath will be made using vine and branches of pine trees.

Step 11- After the base of the wreath is fixed tightly using the floral wires, you can start to decorate it. The basic material that can be used to circle around the vine is pine branches.

Step 12- As you have decided how you want to put the pine branches on the vine, use the floral wires to fix the position tightly.

Step 13- Before you start to put flower onto the wreath, you need a hanger that is enable to be strong enough to hang the wreath on the door or wall etc.

Tip 7 You can cut the pine branches into smaller branches so that you can put them on the

vine easier.

Step 15- If you want to put ribbon on the wreath, you can use hot glue gun to stick the

ribbon onto the wreath.

Step 14- After you are sure that the hanger is stable, you can start to put the dried flowers onto the wreath by just putting them into between the pine branches.
